Emberiza Mini's

Emberiza Mini's My name is Kerry Bunting and I am the owner and first aid trainer at Emberiza Mini's. My next goal is to add Pet First Aid to the list!

Emberiza Mini’s was created to make first aid accessible to everyone 💛

We offer small, friendly, community-focused classes at an affordable rate, helping people feel confident to act when it matters most🫶🏼 Our family business began in 2018 when my dad, Keith Bunting, founded Keith Bunting Social Care. After several years of steady growth—and navigating the challenges of COVID—the company began to

expand into new areas. After completing two years of college studying Forensics, and following the birth of my daughter, I made the decision to join the family business. I built our first website and began supporting the company while starting university, where I am now in my third year of a four-year degree in Health Care with Health Sciences. As our roles within the business grew, we rebranded to Emberiza Training Services Ltd to reflect our family’s shared involvement. “Emberiza” comes from the genus of birds known as the “Bunting ” a fitting tribute to our family name. In 2025, after working in administration for several years, I decided to take the next step and train as an instructor. I enrolled on my Award in Education and Training, completed the required assignments and preparation, and by December 2025 I became a qualified First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, and AED instructor. I created Emberiza Mini’s to continue working within the family brand while offering something more focused on the community: affordable family first aid classes. My aim is to provide small, friendly, local sessions that make essential first aid skills accessible to everyone—without breaking the bank.

🐾 A little bit of exciting news!🐾

I officially qualified last week to teach Pet First Aid and am really looking forward to starting some sessions!

Before I organise anything, I just wanted to see what people might prefer.

If you’d be interested in learning pet first aid, what would work best for you?
• Online awareness or in person practical sessions?
• Short topic specific sessions (about an hour), half day (3 hours), or full day?
• Weekday, evening, or weekend?

Much like our first aid courses for families and children workshops, we are going to make this as affordable as possible!

Just comment below or message me – I’d really appreciate the feedback while I’m planning things.

🎉 We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Murrayside Miniatures: Stay, play & bounce sessions for 0-4 year olds! 🎉

We are holding 2 exciting Children's First Aid Workshops!
📅 Monday 27th April 2026
Only £4 per child!

We’re delighted to be teaming up to bring you fun, interactive first aid sessions designed especially for children — helping them build confidence and learn what to do in an emergency in a safe, supportive environment.

Who Are These Sessions For?
As this event is taking place during term time, these sessions are particularly aimed at home-educated children and those who are unable to attend mainstream education.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to take part in structured learning in a supportive, external environment — and for parents and carers to enjoy a little time to step back and recharge, knowing their children are engaged in something meaningful and valuable.

🦸 Little Lifesavers (Ages 3–7)
⏰ 10:00am – 11:00am
- Learning how to call 999 and stay safe
- Awareness of minor injuries
- Recovery position
- Fun mascots and hands-on activities
Adults are asked to stay for this session.
You’re very welcome to relax in the café area and enjoy a well-deserved break while remaining on site.

🚑 Mini Responders (Ages 8–13)
⏰ 11:30am – 12:30pm
- Call 999 and clearly explain an emergency
- Care for bumps, burns, breaks and bleeding
- Carry out basic CPR
- Help someone who is choking
Parents/carers are welcome to leave during this session, as long as we have emergency contact details.

Age guidance is flexible.
If you feel your child would be comfortable in the older group, that’s absolutely fine. The age ranges are simply a guide based on content. Please note that children under 6 may find the CPR mannequins more challenging.

These sessions are a fantastic way to introduce children to life-saving skills in a calm, engaging setting.

Spaces are limited — book now to secure your place!

Emberiza Mini's are pleased to announce we have added a new date in Ipswich at The Golden Hind to our open courses!✨

As parents and carers, we never want to imagine something going wrong… but if it ever did, would you feel confident stepping in?

That question sits at the heart of why I run these Paediatric First Aid - Skills for families courses. I truly believe every family deserves to feel calm, capable and prepared — not frightened — when it matters most.

On Sunday 17th May 2026, I’ll be creating a relaxed, supportive space where we can learn these lifesaving skills together. No pressure, no judgement — just practical, hands-on guidance that makes things feel clearer and less overwhelming.

Everyone is welcome, even ages 9+ - the perfect way to get older siblings involved!

📍 The Golden Hind, 470 Nacton Road, Ipswich, IP3 9NF
⏰ 1pm – 4pm

💷 Only £25 per person
🚗 Free parking
☕ Free refreshments

🎓 Certificate of attendance
👧 Suitable for ages 9+

During the afternoon, we’ll gently cover:
• Infant & child CPR
• AED use
• Choking
• Recovery position
• Head injuries
• Burns & scalds
• Cuts & bleeding control
• Common paediatric illnesses & emergencies

There’s something powerful about learning these skills in a calm environment — asking questions, practising properly, and leaving not just with information, but with confidence.

You’ll go home with reassurance, practical know-how, and the quiet comfort of thinking, “If something happened, I could do something.”

If you’ve been putting it off or telling yourself “I must book a first aid course one day”… maybe this is your gentle nudge 💛
