One lesser-known and rare symptom of breast cancer is called *peau d’orange* — a French term meaning “orange peel.” It describes skin on the breast that looks dimpled, thickened, or textured like the surface of an orange.
This can be a sign of inflammation or changes beneath the skin that should never be ignored.
⚠️ What to look out for:
• Skin that appears puckered or dimpled
• Swelling or heaviness in the breast
• Redness or warmth
• Changes in skin texture that don’t go away
If you notice anything unusual, please don’t wait — get it checked by your GP.
