We gathered information earlier on in the year regarding our Education Support Hub. Majority of the responses stated that they wished for Head of Education to be in attendance.
I wanted to share with you some information that I hope you find useful.
Any complaints made via the NAC complaints procedure for inclusion purposes will not be passed onto the head of education. Lindsay Morris who is the executive manager for inclusion and safeguarding will in fact receive your complaint.
Here is what Lindsay has to say 👇
"I have been working in education for 30 years. I hold a First Class Honours Degree in Education with a Distinction in Teaching and have worked in four different local authorities. A Head Teacher in two schools in Glasgow, I joined North Ayrshire Council as a Quality Improvement Manager in 2015. I was appointed to the role of Executive Manager in 2023 and holds strategic responsibility for inclusion and child protection. I lead a small team of central officers to support and challenge leaders in schools and early years provisions to deliver a high-quality service for North Ayrshire’s children and young people. I am passionate about the quality of teaching and learning for all and also sit on the Fitness to Teach panels for the General Teaching Council Scotland.
Lindsay is who hosts our education support hubs and is full of knowledge and experience. Pop along to have a cuppa and a chat with her. She will be more than happy to discuss any of your queries and answer any questions.
For complaints it is still best to follow the complaints procedure as there are certain protocols and steps that must be undertaken. You can find the complaints procedure here 👇
