I am a fully qualified, insured counsellor registered with the BACP. I also have 10 years employment experience in mental health related fields, working within young people’s, adults, and elderly care settings, including individuals with learning difficulties. I work to help people process the past, manage the present, become more self aware, and find healthy ways to express emotions or cope with
stresses. Whether you want to make changes within your life, or make sense of your thoughts, relationships, or identity, I offer a safe, non judgemental and confidential space to explore this. I am an integrative counsellor which means I can draw on different approaches depending on the issue you bring and the way of working that suits you best. My training is based in person centred practice, along with CBT, psychodynamic, transactional analysis (TA), and mindfulness. I can also work creatively if this is something that would suit you. Seeking counselling can be daunting and I will do my best to make you feel at ease. It is important that your counsellor is the right ‘fit’ for you and that you feel comfortable. I offer an initial consultation at a reduced rate so that you can get a feel for me and decide if we would work well together. Feel free to pop me a message and I'll be happy to answer any questions.
