In this month's BABICM Members Magazine, we are so proud to see StanleySmith Case Manager, Emma, featured for her incredible achievement of running an incredible 109KM back in September to raise funds for neurology research at UCL's Institute of Neurology, led by Dr Joseph (Joe) Mole - something that is incredibly important to Emma.

We're incredibly proud of Emma and her achievement, raising money for this incredible cause.

We are proud to recognise today as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a day that reminds us of the importance of building a world where everyone is included, valued and supported to live their life to the fullest

This year's theme is: Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress. This is a topic which is at the heart of what we do as we work with our clients, case managers and multi-disciplinary teams to support independence and champion choice.

We're looking for skilled professionals who share these values, including occupational therapists, nurses, speech and language therapists or social workers who are interested in joining us on a self-employed basis with excellent rates of pay.

When you join StanleySmith, you'll receive full mentoring and support across both clinical and legal aspects of case management, along with the flexibility to balance other clinical work. We cover a large area, and we are particularly interested in hearing from individuals in Bristol, Somerset, Dorset and North Devon.

At StanleySmith, we work with a variety of other services to ensure our clients benefit from the skills of people who are experts in their fields.

Recently, our office team have spent the last months researching and compiling a list of local therapy, agency and equipment providers. This is hugely beneficial to our Case Managers and clients as we can help them meet their needs quickly and efficiently, as and when a new requirement arises!

Today, we want to share a huge thank you to all of our amazing speakers who made this year's StanleySmith Case Management Conference such a rich, inspiring and thought-provoking event! Each session brought fresh insights, practical expertise, and so much heart.

Here's a look back at the fantastic speakers on the day:

🤍 Jon Bocklemann-Evans spoke on "Emotional Health - Your Hidden Superpower"", sharing powerful reflections on how meeting emotional needs supports both us and the clients we serve.

🩵 Sally Nolan from StanleySmith Case Management explored how effective case management can champion and support clients with vocational needs.

🤍Declan French from Irwin Mitchell discussed the huge impact that effective communication can have on clients and the professionals around them.

🩵 Olivia Mannering, an Independent Social Worker, shared invaluable insight into the transition to adulthood, including the challenges clients face at 18 and how family dynamics evolve during this time.

🤍 Oliver Lewis from Lewis Support - Tailored Assistive Technology Solutions explored how technology can maximise independence and autonomy for clients.

🩵 John Fitzpatrick from Silver Fern Therapy demonstrated how equipment solutions can empower clients and create a positive, life-changing impact.

🤍 Craig Butler and Naomi Hulford from Headway Plymouth presented inspiring updates on service development at Headway Plymouth and the benefits for clients recovering from brain injuries.

🩵 Steve Hansen and Paula Hansen from World Accessible Holidays showcased their passion for delivering affordable, accessible holiday experiences for all.

Our StanleySmith Case Management 2025 Conference went down incredibly well!

The day was filled with knowledge, sharing, and networking, allowing each of us to build and develop our networks, which will help us in delivering the best outcomes for our clients.
