Developmental Language Disorder Day 2025 💜💛

Did you know that DLD affects 1 in 14 people and has no direct cause? Living with DLD can be frustrating and stressful as articulating feelings and communicating with others is tough.

We're sharing our support today for 2025 to help raise awareness and educate more people on DLD.

Happy Retirement, Angela 🎊

Support worker, Angela, retired recently after an amazing 22 years of providing valuable 1:1 support with a client. Prior to this, Angela worked in a brain injury rehabilitation unit where she gained a strong understanding and knowledge of brain injury.

Angela has given so much over the years, and we wish her well in her very well-deserved retirement 🩵🤍

Today we proudly share our support of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) Day, 2025! From physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, dietitians and many more, AHPs play a crucial role in prevention, rehabilitation, diagnosis and ongoing care for so many people. Their ongoing commitment ensures that patients can live fuller lives with heightened independence.

Tomorrow, Emma, one of our brilliant Clinical Case Managers, will take on an incredible 109km run from Milton Keynes to London...all in a single day! 🎉

Emma is running to raise vital funds for groundbreaking brain injury research at UCL’s Institute of Neurology, led by Dr Joseph Mole. This cause is deeply personal to her, after her daughter experienced a sudden brain bleed in 2021, which has been a journey that has inspired Emma to take on this incredible challenge. Emma's determination reflects the resilience of so many families living with the often hidden effects of brain injury, which is truly inspiring.

We’ll all be thinking of Emma tomorrow as she takes on this huge challenge, and we’d like to wish her the very best of luck! 💪
