January is nature’s way of saying, “Let’s begin again.”

Practising self-care in January is especially important. It helps us look after our wellbeing and reduce the risk of low mood during the darker, colder days.

Simple steps can make a big difference — connecting with loved ones, spending time outdoors to reconnect with nature and soak up what sunshine we can, and keeping our bodies moving through exercise. 🏃‍♀️🌿

I’m currently taking on new clients and offer face-to-face counselling in Modbury or Plympton, as well as online therapy for added flexibility.

This is brilliant news! This is something I have felt for a while so I am really pleased it's happening. Parents can also role model and teach this as well :)

I am interested to hear your thoughts, do you feel this should be taught at school?

UK schools are preparing to roll out new lessons focused on teaching boys how to treat women and girls with respect
The program covers empathy, consent, personal boundaries, and healthy behavior, with the goal of shaping attitudes early in life rather than addressing harm after it happens.

Education leaders say this is about prevention, not punishment. By starting these conversations in school, they hope to reduce future harm and encourage respectful friendships, relationships, and everyday interactions
Supporters argue schools help shape values alongside families, and that teaching communication and responsibility benefits everyone, not just one group.
The move has sparked nationwide debate, but it reflects a growing belief that healthier societies are built through education — one lesson at a time.

✨ Today is World Mental Health Day ✨

This day is all about raising awareness of the importance of mental health, mental health services, and the incredible people who work to support others around the world. 🌍💚

Start your day well with a mindful morning ritual. Personally, I find that keeping a gratitude diary is such a helpful way to begin my day — it sets a positive tone and helps me focus on what truly matters. 🌿

I also start my day with a N'Espresso coffee and double cream :)

Here are some ideas for you. How do you like to start your day?

Mornings have the power to completely change your mindset when approached intentionally. A few choices can help quiet mental clutter and set a calmer tone before things get busy. These habits don’t require big lifestyle changes either, just consistency and a willingness to try. Here are twenty eas...

Our Story

I decided to train as a psychotherapist as I received CBT as a client when I was struggling with anxiety and low self worth whilst living in London. I found the therapy so successful that I decided to train up as I want to make a positive difference to other people’s lives. I've found that most people who come to see me are struggling with some form of anxiety or stress, low self worth and/or depression (which they quite often don't recognise until we complete an inventory!) Worrying about what people think about them, anxious about social events, stressed at work, struggling to juggle everything and taking it out on family members, angry at the injustice of it all, feeling worthless and a lack of hope and teary. These are just some of the things that are creating problems in their lives until they come to see me and we create a shift by developing a rational, helpful mindset! Changing the beliefs.

Using CBT and Integrative Therapy (inc different techniques such as Compassion and Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness). With a strong desire to change and in need of some support, we work together using CBT techniques to create the changes that you wish to make. I will train you to become your own therapist so you won't need me anymore.

I realise how difficult it is taking the first step as i've been there! As an empathetic person by nature, I believe I come across as warm, friendly, compassionate and non judgemental. I find clients open up to me very quickly as they trust I have their best interests at heart. You can read the reviews on my website to see what other clients have said.
