Blue Monday reminds us that it is okay to have low days - and that support, connection and small positive actions really matter. Looking after wellbeing is not about fixing the everything, but about taking one step at a time, together.

Here at the South Tyneside branch we decided to have a dress down day for Blue Monday. Everyone In branch also brought blue food in for Blue Monday. We also made a quiz to hand out to neighbouring businesses for a £1 donation. In total we have made £35.00 today from doing a dress down day and from the quiz. As of today (19.01.2026) the South Tyneside branch has currently raised £150.00 in total which will all be donated to local charities at the end of the year. When we look at it like that it's not such a blue Monday but a day that has raised money for well deserving charities in the local community. Watch this space here at the South Tyneside branch for coming months of social value events/ charity fundraising and more.

Food bank donations in time for Christmas from the South Tyneside Team

South Tyneside branch have collected for their local food bank, Hospitality and Hope and today they came to pick up the wonderful donations from local businesses, the carers and Branch Team.

Diane from the charity explained that they have seen a huge increase in those who need to receive donations and I am more than sure you will all agree that it is hard to comprehend that in this day and age we are seeing the vast increase.

No one should be in a situation where they can’t access food for themselves and loved ones. We all hope that this donation goes a little way to support over the festive period and the high demand.
