Last week, we had the opportunity to talk to The Northern Echo about home blood pressure monitors and why they can sometimes give different readings compared to those taken in a clinical setting.

The article highlighted that differences are common and can be caused by factors such as the “white coat effect”, incorrect technique, or using a monitor that isn’t clinically validated.

It also reinforced the importance of taking readings correctly and consistently to get an accurate picture of your blood pressure over time
