Vaccination is the most effective way to protect children from serious illness.

Northern Cancer Voices is looking for people who want to make a real difference to cancer services across the North East. If you’re a patient, carer, or someone with lived experience, we’d love you to be part of our collaborative network.

What is a Patient & Carer Collaborative?
It’s a supportive group of people who come together to share experiences, raise concerns, and help shape improvements in NHS cancer care. We work closely with NHS Trusts, the Northern Cancer Alliance and Public Health teams to look at every stage of the cancer pathway — from screening and prevention, through treatment, and into aftercare.

Why join us?
Your voice genuinely matters.
Every six weeks, we host a one‑hour online call where members:
• Talk about recent experiences shared with us
• Highlight what’s working well and what needs to change
• Offer insight that is passed directly to our NHS partners
• Help influence improvements across local cancer services

It’s also a great introduction to getting involved in service development and patient involvement work.

Two collaboratives are available:
🟦 North of Tyne & Gateshead
(Covers Northumberland, North Tyneside, Newcastle and Gateshead)

🟩 South Tyneside & Sunderland
