What a lovely week we’ve had welcoming in the New Year! ✨ On New Year’s Eve, residents enjoyed a party and a wonderful performance that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The celebrations continued on New Year’s Day with delicious mocktails, followed by an amazing afternoon with John Fletcher. Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Linda Davidson, who gave a fascinating talk on ‘Songs, singers, and propaganda from World War II’, which our residents really enjoyed. ❤️

Happy New Year from everyone at Fleming Court, we look forward to sharing many more special moments together in 2026! 🎉💛

A relaxed Boxing Day🥰
Residents enjoyed a calm day of games, creativity, and socialising, made even more special by a surprise visit from one of our residents’ families who sang carols for us. A heartfelt thank you for such a thoughtful and touching gesture, it was truly appreciated by us all❤️

That’s a wrap for Christmas 2025!
What a truly lovely time we have had. Our team have been absolutely amazing, creating meaningful moments and ensuring our residents enjoyed every minute of the celebrations and activities throughout Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, residents enjoyed decorating cookies, joining in with Christmas sing-alongs, and being treated to a hot chocolate station, followed by cosy Christmas movies in the evening. Moments like these make Christmas so special for everyone involved ❤️

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to one of our residents’ families for kindly gifting a cake to the staff once again this year. Your continued thoughtfulness and generosity are greatly appreciated by us all.

We hope everyone had a very lovely Christmas 🎄🎅🏻🥰

Another wonderful day at Fleming Court, enjoying our Chatty Cafe filled with laughter and togetherness, followed by a relaxed wine, cheese and crackers afternoon 🧀. To make the day even more special, our amazing staff went above and beyond by sharing some lovely Christmas carols with everyone. What a wonderful day our residents enjoyed today at Fleming Court as we celebrated our Christmas party. The atmosphere was filled with music, smiles and togetherness, making it a truly special occasion for everyone. A huge thank you to our incredible team, whose dedication and teamwork helped create such a memorable day for our residents. We are also very grateful to Dame Allan’s and all other visitors who joined us to sing carols, bringing so much joy and Christmas cheer. Finally, a special thank you to Trish Lydon for treating our residents to a lovely afternoon of Christmas songs, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We were delighted to welcome pupils from West Jesmond Primary School, who kindly visited our home to deliver gifts for all of our residents and share a wonderful singing performance. We cannot thank them enough for the joy and festive cheer they brought with them. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Newcastle Preparatory School, who presented our residents with beautiful Christmas cards and a lovely performance.

Moments like these are truly special for everyone here, and we are extremely grateful to both schools for their kindness and generosity🎄❤️
