Whatever is happening this week, decisive, quick thinking action is required. Rapid comings and goings, days where we are constantly on the go and time runs away from us. Mercury is still in retrograde so watch out for spanners in the works that take you a bit off track. The best laid plans often go astray when this Knight is around.

Swords, as always, talk about what goes on in our minds and thoughts, so ideas and logical thinking are required this week to steer the action on the forward course. We are seeking truth and ultimately results so try to perhaps slow down and get perspective, take it more logically, think it through first. Dont rush in to challenges without a plan of action or fly off the handle with your responses. It will all get lost in the fight and you won't find the answers you need

This card often comes up for me when process, legalities, red tape are all getting in the way and we have to cut our way through it all to get to where we need to be.

He's air energy , Gemini ♊️, Libra ♎️ or Aquarius ♒️ helping us move forward. He's a legal/financial or a medical professional whose knowledge assists us.

Whether he represents who we need to be or who we need to seek out for help, he at best is dynamic and faces the challenges head on and at worst is impulsive and erratic. Choose which one you want or need to be this week, or indeed who you need to assist you in what your goals are this week.

Lots coming up for Eean Mac Psychic Tarot. Next weekend a short break from Kinfauns (back there Sunday 10th August). First up a weekend of Cove Holistic and Craft Fayres. I will have a stall at the Cove events for private readings in Saltcoats Town Hall on Saturday 2nd and one again at Bellahouston Sports Centre on Sunday 3rd August.

The Devil: (When Women Had Wings Tarot)

The Devil card gets a bad reputation in Tarot sometimes. Many people's hearts sink when they see it come out in their reading. It's nowhere near as scary a card as it appears to be. It really appears usually as an advice card to remind us that there can be a flip side to the subconscious. That it's time for us to examine ourselves a bit deeper and address the more negative aspects of our personalities and the resultant outcomes of that in our lives.
Carl Jung, the Swiss psychologist, whose teachings and principles are very often applied in clarifying Tarot, would have called this our 'Shadow Self'. The unconscious aspects of our personality and our behaviours that we suppress or repress because we deem them to be harmful or shameful. The number of this card is 15 which in numerology reduces down to 6 which in Tarot is the Lovers. If you look at more traditional decks and place the Devil and the Lovers side by side there is a huge similarity with the Devil and the Lovers in terms of them representing similar yet opposite ends of our personality. Our conscious Self and our unconscious Self. The Angel and the fallen Angel. The couple that are free and the couple that are chained ! Hidden darkness and clear enlightenment.
This week, then, is all about examining our unconscious behaviours, the things that no longer serve us well. Behaviours, people, habits, addictions even; all the things that are a little bit self destructive and that bind us to the things we know are harmful or not good for us in the long term. Are we clinging on to that toxic relationship or toxic work environment? Are we harming ourselves with destructive negative thinking patterns or behaviours? Drinking too much, eating too much, spending too much, repeating self destructive habits that we cant seem to quit?
This week the advice of this card is about examining this on a more conscious level. When we take time to deep dive into the underlying reasons as to why we do the harmful things we do, it often gives us clarity and understanding and allows us to clear away the barriers and cut away the chains or ropes that are tying us to these behaviours and habits.
This card is governed by Capricorn. Someone born under that sign can be important in helping us with this situation this week. Or perhaps the changes and the realisations that we make this week might take us right through until Capricorn season (December/January) to see the positive results for us where we have moved on from these ties that bind .

When things don't go to plan it's not always a bad thing....sometimes the Universe has other ideas for us ! Don't question it, try to go with the flow and trust that the detour is a more scenic and worthwhile route !!

8 of Swords (Light Seer's Tarot)
In tarot, swords are all about what goes on in our minds. Our thoughts and how they influence our outcomes are intrinsically linked.
Recently the thoughts that we have been having, the over analysis of our situations and the preoccupation with the potential negative outcomes have been crowding our minds and holding us back. We are tying ourselves in knots by creating imagined outcomes that are restricting us and making us feel trapped in situations that in fact we are not tied to at all.
It's only in the mirror that the crows exist and the imagined ties that are restricting her can be seen. In reality she has nothing restricting her or making her feel trapped.
Pay attention to your thoughts this week. Understand that what you "think" can ultimately affect the path of what actually "happens" and that seeing the worst case scenario in your head can focus you too much on the negative outcomes that they can actually start to transpire. Remember there is a freedom in knowing that if you can think yourself into negative outcomes you can absolutely think yourself into positive ones too.
Take time to reflect this week but be sure you drop the self imposed negative thoughts and over thinking and see the reality for what it is, that there is a positive train of thinking also that can lead you away from recent restricting events. xx
