Welcome to our new Vice-Chancellor

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor to lead Keele University.

Professor Kevin Shakesheff will join us on September 1st to become our eighth Vice-Chancellor.

Kevin joins Keele from the Open University, where he is currently the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, leading the university’s institutional plans for research, commercial activities, and scholarship.

He said: “Keele has a well-deserved reputation for excellence in both teaching and research which is renowned throughout the academic world and across the region, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to lead this historic institution.”
