We celebrated another of our residents birthday this week.

They enjoyed lunch out with family then came back and we all enjoyed singing Happy Birthday and eating some cake together.

On Friday the residents planted some flowers ready for the patio so we can enjoy them in the better weather. Some residents also enjoyed looking at gardening magazines and talking about what they could see.

This week was British Science weeks. Some of our residents took part in some experiments and others enjoyed watching. Some of the experiment’s worked others didn’t, but it was fun giving them a go.

Last week when we had some lovely weather some of the residents enjoyed spending some time in our beautiful garden and seeing all the new flower popping up.

Today for International Women’s Day we took a look at some famous/ influential women in history discussing who they where and what they did, we also listened to music sung by women and talked about the special women in their lives and what memories they had of them.

This afternoon we took a couple of our residents down to Cliff Castle and had a walk around the garden admiring the flowers. We spotted squirrels and met a friendly dog along the way.

On Sunday we did some decorating of biscuit they choose between red and white icing then had a choose of toppings. They then enjoyed eating them with a nice cuppa.

Last week on the run up to Valentines we talked a lot with our residents about love what it means to them and who they love. We did a valentines quiz and looked at famous couples. Some residents looked at their own photos and talked about their loves/love story giving them the opportunity to reminisce.

On the run up to Valentines our residents have done some Heart Printing today.
