Buddha Land Centre is a Buddhist Meditation Centre based in Keighley, UK. It offers weekly meditation classes in Keighley, as well as in local towns in Yorkshire and Lancashire such as of Grassington, Ilkley, Settle, Burnley and Barnoldswick. The Centre also houses the World Peace Cafe which serves hot and cold drinks, home make cakes, light meals and snacks.

Kadam Bridget is known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart, and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. Explore the practice of Tara with a guided short retreat on Saturday which will be followed by the opportunity to join 24hour Tara Chanting.

Following the Kadampa International Summer Festival Gen Päljin will guide a short retreat on Tara practice. Tara is the enlightened mother and one of the Six Kadampa Deities. She is the manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all the Buddhas and is known for her swift help for those in need. Her practice is much loved within Kadampa Buddhism and its founder Venerable Atisha relied upon her throughout his life.

Guidance will be offered on how to engage in the Tara practice on the Saturday. This will be followed by the option to join 24hour Tara Chanting. Engaging in Tara practice over 24 hours is a very powerful method for removing inner and outer obstacles, such as sickness, fear & misfortune.

In these sessions, we will, in particular, dedicate our prayers to world peace. Each session is 1 hr 10 min long, and is done every four hours. You can attend as many sessions as you like. Sessions will be available in person and online. Everyone is welcome.

The new course is called “Training in Meditation”. All classes are stand-alone, and available to all. You can attend as few or as many classes as you want. This week’s class is called ‘Meditation and Inner Peace’.

This class runs every week in person
