Our ceremony of farewell for this amazing woman was filled with smiles, tears and so much love. Brenda lived 100 years and certainly made a positive impact on everyone who met her. Her fine qualities, generous nature and bright personality will be deeply missed x

The U.S. has witnessed its first burial using a mushroom coffin, a biodegradable casket made of mycelium, the root structure of fungi. These coffins break down naturally and absorb body toxins, returning the body to the soil in a clean, eco-friendly way.

Mycelium grows around an organic frame and biodegrades in 30 to 45 days after burial. It’s part of the emerging green burial movement, aiming to replace traditional caskets and chemical embalming.

This new form of burial offers a sustainable, regenerative return to the Earth, aligning life, death, and ecology.

Our ceremony of farewell to Hilary was done in true style - including Indian music, people wearing orange , a photo montage and poetry. She was a remarkable woman, kind, thoughtful, supportive, generous and fun. She worked hard and was well known at New Coley Nurseries and her adventurous spirit took her all over the world. She was much loved.

This is Michael, a well known and highly regarded part of the Haworth community. Everyone liked him - including me, I had the pleasure of knowing him for 17 years. Conducting his funeral brought sadness but we celebrated his life with memories ,photographs, music and poetry which he would have approved of.

Freda was a queen amongst women. She had so many wonderful qualities and had plenty of love to give. Her caring and fun loving nature drew others to her and she was highly regarded wherever she went. X

It’s always good to work with David Lawson. We are captured here at Oakworth Crematorium on Tuesday - saying goodbye after a very well attended service for Brian Exley - a truly impressive man and a personal friend of David. It was an emotional day for him - but he was as professional as ever. X

This morning we said farewell to Sid - a man of many fine qualities. He lived his 86 years well and was loved by young and old alike.
We held a loving service for Sid and his family provided forget me not seeds , a memory card and a keyring to everyone attending, in his memory.
Our funeral director was Hayley Docherty of Gallagher Family Funeral Directors . It was the first time I’ve worked with Hayley - and an absolute pleasure

This morning I drove to Stainland Dean in Halifax to speak with a man about his mums funeral service. On discovering it was my birthday today - he handed me these two lovely bottles of wine and wished me many happy returns! What a great surprise. I do come into contact with the nicest of people 😀x

Glenys was one of a kind. Loving, thoughtful, nurturing, helpful and generous. Top that off with fun loving, daft, adventurous and upbeat - you have one amazing gem. She will be deeply missed.
Her family gifted a lovely reading and badge to everyone - including me .

Our service for Ken was filled with love, gratitude and wonderful memories. He was very highly regarded - an important part of many people’s lives. His family gave all in attendance a beautiful butterfly pin to remember him by. This is mine and I will wear it with a warm smile.

Despite being so cold, we had blue sky, sunshine and birdsong at Brocklands Woodland Burial Grounds today, for our ceremony of farewell to Brian.
It was good to work with Stephen of Duncan Robinson Funeral Services - Settle. We were photographed after completing our duties - and heading for the warmth or our cars. X
