As many are now aware i have left the practice today. A mixture of emotions but ready for the next chapter in my life. We wish Pete Williams and his wife Alison every success.

Thank you all for your support and kindness shown to me and Barbara and thank you for the very generous gifts.

I will be returning on August the 5th 2025 and will be working 2 days and appointments can be made the same way as above.

Retirement Announcement

I am having to make an announcement that I never thought I would get to. The practice is 10 years old this year and I have reached the grand old age of 65. This means it is time for me to step aside and let the younger generation of Chartered Physiotherapists take over. To this end Pete Williams will take over the practice on1st July 2025. I shall take a well-earned rest through July but I will be back in August for two days a week, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
Pete is a local lad with a practice in Embsay, it is called Williams Human Performance. Pete was a very successful professional cyclist winning the climbers jersey and the points jersey in the Tour of Britain for example. He also does bike coaching and bike fits which for you cyclists I cannot recommend highly enough. Pete coached me when I set out to ride all three sides of Mt. Ventoux for which I am very grateful. He brings his wide skill set to the practice. He is bringing a team of therapist to the Crosshills area which will include Physiotherapy, Sports Massage, Acupuncture, Personal Training and Nutrition.
I have to thank you all for supporting the practice over the last 10 years and making it a very happy place to come to work. I have finally in my life felt part of a community and reached a sense of achievement that I have not reached before in my career.
I trust that you will support Pete in his new venture as you have supported Barbara and I in ours. It is now time for us to move onto new adventures and enjoy our time together.

Well the day has finally come to literally put my feet up ( Pardon the pun). Today is my last day of working and start a new chapter in my life of retirement. I would like to thank all my clients old and current for their support and allowing me to be part of their life journey. It has been a privilege. Thank you for all the cards and gifts and kind words i have received i am overwhelmed and feel very humbled. I will still be popping in and doing bits of paperwork for Iain so you will still see me around. I will miss being at the practice as i have felt very much part of the community, but am looking forward to having a bit more time for me.

CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS

The practice hours will be as normal up until Friday 20th December when we will close at 3pm and will remain closed until 7.30am Monday 6th January 2025. We will not have access to e-mails or telephone but can be contacted through our Facebook Messenger Page as usual and we will respond as soon as possible.

Just to let everybody know that I am not here Friday 28th June nor Monday 1st July. I am working on THE YORKSHIRE BEAST over the weekend. My great friend Ben Wood is attempting to ride 450 miles around the border of Yorkshire in 2 days. My great friend Andy North is going to do the same distance over 4 days, he is not quite as mad as Ben. Hopefully all goes well and I have very little to do. Andy sets off tomorrow at 6.00am and Ben starts tomorrow night at midnight. They are raising money for Alzheimer's Society. Update to our previous post about Stella.
She has won Gold in the individual British Championship and has also won another Gold Medal in the British Team Championship.. Stella is now the current English and British Champion. Huge congratulations Stella you have worked so hard despite injury to achieve this. We are very proud to be a small part of your journey and wish you every success in the future.
