On Friday we celebrated Victory in Europe Day here at Sutton Hall and Lodge 🇬🇧❤️

We started the day with a relaxing morning looking through old photos 📸 and sharing special memories together 😊

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a fantastic sing-along with Katy James 🎤🎶 which was loved by everyone. Residents enjoyed a cheeky tipple 🥂, birthday cake 🎂, and lots of delicious treats 🍰 while also celebrating a very special 83rd birthday 🎉🎈

A huge thank you to all our wonderful families who joined in the celebrations ❤️ and to our amazing staff for showing off those fantastic dance moves 💃🕺

Special thanks also go to our wonderful Activities Ladies, Julie & Sarah 🌟, for arranging such a memorable day and decorating our home so beautifully 🎀🇬🇧

Weekly Round-Up 🇬🇧✨
This week, we started with a lovely sing-along with Jonathan 🎶 where we celebrated May Day 🌸 alongside a fun game of musical bingo 🎵🎤.
Our one-to-one sessions were themed around VE Day 🇬🇧, and we spent time looking through our World War II scrapbook 📖 and reminiscing over old photographs 🖼️ together.
We also enjoyed some time out and about 🚐, including a lovely afternoon at the cricket club 🏏 watching the children during their training session. ☀️
As always, we had our weekly prize bingo session 🎟️🎉, and we were delighted to celebrate one of our residents’ 83rd birthday 🎂🥳.

What a fabulous week it has been here at Sutton Hall and Lodge! ☀️

We’ve been lucky with beautiful weather here in Yorkshire, making it perfect for plenty of outdoor fun. Residents have enjoyed time in the garden, armchair exercises, and garden games—including a very competitive round of darts! 🎯

Ice lollies made their first appearance of the year and were a big hit with everyone. 🍦 Our “Out and About” club had lovely trips to the park and even went to watch bowls, which was thoroughly enjoyed.

Of course, our weekly favourite—Bingo—also took place, with plenty of friendly competition and laughter all around.

In earlier posts, you’ll have seen highlights from our Rock Choir and the birthdays we’ve celebrated this week—such special moments for everyone involved. 🎉

Please note, there will be no posts next week as our deputy, who manages our page, is on a well-deserved sunny holiday. Updates will resume on 11th May.

🎉 Party Day Celebrations 🎉

Yesterday we celebrated two very special birthdays — an amazing 90th and 91st! 🥳🎂

Our morning started with musical bingo (a brilliant idea from our birthday ladies!) 🎶 It didn’t take long before things got very competitive 😄

In the afternoon we were joined by the fantastic Rock Choir 🎤 WOW… what a turnout! Our lounge and dining room were full, creating such a lovely atmosphere ❤️

Of course, there was more birthday cake 🍰 and a cheeky tipple 🥂 as everyone raised a glass to our wonderful birthday ladies 💕

We also enjoyed our raffle — well done to all of our lucky winners 🎁👏

A huge thank you to all our amazing families who joined us today, and to our incredible staff 💙 As always, you brought the energy… and some very impressive dance moves! 💃🕺

Our Weekly Activities Schedule ☀️

We have a very exciting week ahead as we celebrate two incredible milestones — a 90th and a 91nd birthday! 🎉

We’re also delighted to welcome the amazing Rock Choir. Tickets are still available at just £3, and we’d love for everyone to come along and join us.

With the sunny weather expected here in Yorkshire, we’re looking forward to spending time out in the garden and visiting the local park to enjoy a game of bowls.

What an exciting week it’s been! 😄 We’ve enjoyed some of our favourite activities, including armchair exercises 🪑💪 and bingo 🎉—always full of smiles and laughter!

Here in Yorkshire, we’ve been so lucky with the beautiful weather ☀️ making the most of our “out and about” club every day 🌳🚶‍♀️

Today, we finished the week with a fun-filled games day outside in the sunshine 🎲🃏—what a fantastic way to end!

St George’s Day Celebrations at Sutton Hall and Lodge ✨🇬🇧

Yesterday we had a fantastic time celebrating St George’s Day! 🇬🇧
We started the day with a St George’s quiz ❓🧠 which got very competitive as everyone was determined to prove they had the right answers! 😄🏆

In the afternoon, the fun continued with a lively sing-along 🎶🎤 with everyone getting into the spirit wearing their new hats 🎩 and glasses 🤓

Of course, no celebration would be complete without a cheeky tipple 🍷 and some delicious St George’s cupcakes 🧁😋

A brilliant day enjoyed by all, filled with laughter 😂, music 🎶, and great company ❤️
