IN LOVING MEMORY OF DAVID FINDLAY

6th April 1957 – 28th August 2025

CULLEN

Born on 6th April 1957 in Cullen, Scotland, David remained forever proud of his Scottish roots.
He was the devoted husband of the late Stella, with whom he shared a deep and enduring love. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, shared adventures, and unconditional support.
David was a cherished father to James and Alexandra, and a proud father-in-law to Bruce. His legacy lives on through his beloved grandchildren, Findlay and Beatrice, who brought him immense joy and pride
David was a dear brother to Sheilagh and Jane, and he now joins his late brother Sandy with the same quiet dignity he carried through life. He was also a much-loved uncle and friend.
A man of intellect and ambition, David began his professional life as a solicitor, enjoying a distinguished legal career in both London and Los Angeles. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he later transitioned into investment banking, finding great success in New York's financial world, where his sharp mind and integrity earned him wide respect.
Outside of work, David was an avid fisherman, shooter, and hunter— never happier than when out in nature, often with close friends or family by his side.
He also had a particular fondness for long, leisurely raw bar lunches, always paired with good conversation and a G&T.
David will be remembered for his wisdom, dry wit, and quiet generosity. His was a life marked by hard work, deep love, and genuine connection — qualities that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Dearest Dad — may you rest in peace, knowing how deeply you were loved by us, your children.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that you are now reunited with Mum, where love surrounds you both once again.
