Suddenly but peacefully at Glenisla Care Home, Keith on Thursday April 30th 2026, James Alexander Smart, former Principal Teacher at Buckie High School, aged 81 years, sadly passed away. Much loved husband of Sandra nee Coull. Dear father of Nicola and Iain, a respected father-in-law, doting grandfather and great-grandfather.

Gwen, Graham and Lisa would like to thank all relatives and friends for the kindness, support and messages of condolence they have received through cards, messages, flowers and visits following their very sad loss of Vince. Thanks to all those at Seafield and Cullen Medical Group involved in Vince's care over the years. Also, our sincere thanks to the Community Response Team (CRT) and Out of Hours Nurses for their outstanding care, kindness and support shown to Vince and to the family. Heartfelt thanks also to Rev. Dr Kay Gauld for her beautiful and moving tribute to Vince. Thanks also to the Cullen Bay Hotel for their hospitality and lovely refreshments and to Frank S McLean & Son Ltd for their professional handling of the funeral arrangements. Finally, thanks to our family and friends who joined us to pay their last respects to Vince. Forever In Our Hearts.

Bryan, Gill, Ashley and their families would like to sincerely thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy shown to them through cards, messages, flowers and visits following the sad loss of their much-loved mother, Rose. Grateful thanks are extended to Keith Health Centre with special thanks to Diane for her excellent care, to Bairds Pharmacy and to Nicola and her team of community nurses for their dedicated care and support to both Rose and the family.
Sincere thanks also go to Deacon Graeme Morrison for his kind words and for conducting a lovely service and to Michael Collins for his heartfelt and uplifting eulogy.
The family would also like to thank Frank S McLean & Son Ltd Funeral Directors, for their caring and professional handling of the funeral arrangements; The Keith Golf Club for their hospitality; Silverspoon for the lovely teas and Lotus Petal for the beautiful floral tributes.
Finally, thank you to everyone who paid their respects at the church and graveside, and for the generous donations totalling £500, which have been given to St. Thomas' Church funds.
