From September, the Social Club gets a bit of a re-vamp and I am looking for volunteers to come and join me once or twice a week. You’ll be helping serving drinks, food, washing up ( there’s a dishwasher!) playing games (chess, draughts, backgammon, dominos, jigsaw puzzles…) and spending some quality fun time with locals.
The reward? Good company, a sense of community, giggles, biscuits, also a great way to get out of the house and embrace meeting new people and challenges.
Come along on August 8th, I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Almost 10 weeks since my back surgery.
Progress is slow, but there’s progress.
Still no reflexes in my left leg but the pins and needles have gone.
Strength and power in my gait are returning and I can walk up to 10km without too much discomfort.
Hamstrings are still tighter than they’ve ever been but I’m working on that.
Core is building back, I’ll get there.
Physio helps a lot, so does a daily dose of yoga.
Mentally, it’s been tough, the emotional rollercoaster certainly is a ride! But it’s the support and love of everyone around me that makes me stronger everyday and I don’t know if I can ever express the gratitude I feel so just a simple Thank You for now to all of you who’ve reached out.

Here’s to the summer 💕☀️

The longest pair of socks in the making, finally off the needles. Life is a daily challenge at the moment but I learn so much about patience. Meditation goes a long way, so does breathwork. Not sure when I’ll teach yoga again but I’m glad to be back on the knitting wagon!
This little pair of wool was a way of keeping fully focussed for short bursts of time, so I had fun with the varied stitch pattern.

All you beautiful yogis and knitters, I have to undergo back surgery this week and must put on hold all classes until further notice. I’m gutted but trying to figure what’s hitting me right now so bear with me and I’ll be bouncing back in no time.

Nothing like knitting on the train! To the sound of an Italian business man arguing on his phone with Federico about Ricardo and his lack of understanding of Terms &conditions… obviously not having a good Monday morning!!
As for me, I’m enjoying this gorgeous Shetland wool and contemplating the week ahead
