Ingrowing toenails are very painful and can affect the way we walk and run. They occur when the nail plate grows into the skin at the side. If the side of the nail is infected, antibiotics can help to get rid of the infection, although recurring infections are common if the ingrowing nail is not cut back. We offer conservative treatment - or nail surgery for a more permanent solution. If the side of the nail is painful, bathe the toe daily to keep it clean and wear shoes that do not increase pressure on the toe. We can help - call us on 01539 732268.

THE FOOT CLINIC (KENDAL) LTD

We are a friendly, professional and established 2 chair practice based in the historic town of Kendal - Gateway to The Lake District (Cumbria, UK).
We are ex-NHS Podiatrists and with a loyal and growing Patient base, we now require a degree qualified, HCPC registered Podiatrist to join our team. The main duties include routine podiatry treatments, with the option to undertake biomechanic assessments (using a Podotech scanner), nail surgery and verruca dry needling (*please note the latter three specialisms are not a compulsory part of the role and support is available if required).
The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, forge a good working relationship with our Patients and enjoy working as part of a team. Both experienced Podiatrists and Graduates are welcome to apply.
All equipment and consumables are supplied. Our Receptionist manages the electronic diary. Medical notes are made and stored using the Private Practice Management System (PPMS). On-site parking available.
As many of our Patients are classed as High Risk, we have a good working relationship with local GPs, the NHS and other health professionals in the area (e.g. physiotherapists) for making referrals.

We wish to offer our sincere condolences to the Royal Family following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
To honour Queen Elizabeth's passing, the clinic will be closed for the funeral on Monday 19th September. All appointments will therefore be rearranged.

Well, today we wished our longest serving Podiatrist, Mike Burrow, a Happy Retirement and celebrated with a wee lunch at Stanley's Cafe (though Mike managed to hide in the group photo!). All the best Mike, no excuse not to finish those Wainwrights now! 😊
