✨ Training Day Success! ✨
We had a fabulous day yesterday welcoming 5 of our amazing Care Professionals into the office for their annual mandatory training.

Even more special - 2 of our Care Pros are celebrating 5 whole years with us! 🌟 What an incredible milestone and a true testament to the dedication and passion of our team.

The day was packed with Basic Life Support, moving & handling, and medication training, plus plenty of time for a good catch-up and a chat (always the best part!).

We’re back with another lovely edition of Drawing with Norma 🎨
This time, she’s been busy bringing a beautiful magpie to life.

The original sketch was created by our Care Professional, Jon, and the painting was completed by our client, Norma. Watching these two sit together, quietly drawing and painting side by side, really is something special. The bond they share shines through in moments like this – unhurried, relaxed, and full of mutual enjoyment.

Creative activities like this aren’t just about the finished picture. They’re about connection, confidence, and taking the time to do something meaningful together. For Norma, it’s a chance to express herself and enjoy a hobby she loves. For Jon, it’s about companionship, encouragement, and sharing a moment that truly matters.

Fun fact: many of our office team started their journey as Care Professionals - including Martyna and Ruth, pictured above. Both now support the office team with admin, with Ruth focusing on recruitment and Martyna assisting with social media and the wider care team.

Your journey doesn’t have to lead to an office role. Many of our Care Professionals go on to complete Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, and even Level 5, while others become mentors and trainers, supporting new team members and sharing their knowledge and experience.

It might look like these four are just having a laugh, but we can assure you – we take our job very seriously 😊

Last week, inhaler training was in full swing! We’re big on keeping our Care Professionals up to date with their training, while also giving them the chance to learn new skills along the way.

It’s always lovely having our Care Professionals in the office, even if it’s “just” for training. And would you believe that three of these Care Professionals hadn’t really met in person before – despite all being part of the Carnforth team and even sharing clients?

We chat in group chats and on the phone all the time, but seeing each other face to face is something else entirely. Care can sometimes be a lonely job, so moments like this – getting together, learning, and sharing a few laughs – are extra special 💚

🎉 We’re Celebrating Someone Very Special! 🎉

Our amazing Group Operations & Registered Manager, Lou (Louise) has been announced as a finalist for the Senior Key Player of the Year Award - and we couldn’t be prouder! 🏆

Lou was nominated by our teams, and this recognition truly reflects the positive impact she has every single day. Having recently achieved her Level 7 in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice 🎓, Lou is always striving to better herself - so she can better support her office teams and Care Professionals 💚

As part of Home Instead’s 20th Anniversary celebrations, all finalists have been invited to a special Afternoon Tea Celebration at Coombe Abbey Hotel ☕🍰.

The overall winners will then be announced at the Home Instead ‘20th Anniversary Celebration’ in London, alongside the Care Professional of the Year Winner.
