🌸✨ Arts & Crafts Fun at Kendal Care Home ✨🌸

We had a wonderful time getting creative, making beautiful flowers out of sticks and colourful cupcake cases! 🎨🌼

Sharing plenty of laughs (and a fair few treats, drinks and crisps along the way 🥤🍪🍿) while enjoying the simple joy of crafting together.

A big heartfelt thank you to Hannah for coming in and leading the activity – your time, creativity and kindness mean so much to our residents. 💕

It was a truly lovely afternoon filled with colour, conversation and smiles! 🌸😊

🐾💛 Today we had a very special visitor… Luna the beautiful German Shepherd! 🐶✨ She spent the day going around Kendal Care Home, spreading joy, cuddles and so much love 🥰🐾

Our residents were absolutely delighted 😍👏 – tails wagged, hands stroked, and plenty of smiles lit up the rooms 🌟💐

💖👶✨ We are overjoyed to welcome the tiniest new member of our Kendal Care Home family… little Scarlett-Rose, born on 4th July, weighing a perfect 5lb 6oz! 🌸🎀

Our residents and staff have absolutely loved the special moments of holding and cuddling her 💕 The smiles say it all – she’s already bringing so much joy and comfort to everyone she meets 🥰

Congratulations to Abi and family on the arrival of your beautiful baby girl – Scarlett-Rose has been showered with love from the very start 💐👼💗

🍦✨ This morning our Wellbeing Team enjoyed a lovely little trip out with two of our residents! First stop was Hansens Ice Cream Parlour for a delicious treat 🍨😋🍫 — the smiles said it all! 💛

Afterwards we popped into Asda 🛒🥦🍞 for some essentials before heading back home 🏡. It was a simple outing but full of laughter, fresh air 🌤️ and happy moments 💐💬.

A big thank you to our wonderful team 💙 and our fabulous residents 🌟 for making the morning so special! 🌈🥰

🌞🐑🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

What a stunning Sunday we’ve had today! Four of our residents joined us for a series of little walks around the local area, making the most of the sunshine and fresh air. 🌿✨

We strolled down to the stream and along the river, stopped to wave hello to the Burton Road mascot 🐕 (the ever-faithful sheepdog who keeps a lookout!), wandered Millbeck Lane and across the bridge, and even made a quick stop at Asda for a few essentials 🛒💐.

Lots of smiles, laughter, and good conversation along the way — a lovely way to spend the day together. ❤️

🐾🦁🐒 What a wildly wonderful day we’ve had at Blackpool Zoo! 🎉

Residents from Kendal Care Home enjoyed a brilliant trip seeing lions, giraffes, elephants, cheeky monkeys, and so many more amazing animals. 🐘🦒🦓

There was lots of laughter, a few “oohs” and “aahs,” and plenty of smiles as we strolled around the zoo together. 🌞💛 The weather was kind, the animals put on a great show, and the ice creams were the perfect treat to finish off a fantastic day out. 🍦✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for making it such a memorable outing – we can’t wait for our next adventure! 🚌💚

☀️🍦 What a perfect summer’s day! 🍦☀️

With the sun shining brightly over Kendal, we couldn’t resist making the most of it! 🌞 Today, some of our lovely residents enjoyed a delightful trip to the ice cream parlour 🍨🍫 – lots of smiles, laughter, and of course… delicious scoops! 😋

For those who couldn’t join us, the sunshine still came to them 🌷💛 – we handed out refreshing ice lollies in the garden so everyone could enjoy a little taste of summer. 🍭🌿

A wonderful day of treats, laughter, and happy memories all round. 💕

🐾💖 Paw-sitively Perfect Day at Kendal Care Home! 💖🐾

Today we had the absolute treat of a visit from Holly the collie 🐶✨ — and oh, what joy she brought! 🥰 From gentle cuddles 🤗 to happy tail wags 🐕💨, she filled the home with love, warmth, and plenty of smiles 😄💐.

Residents enjoyed stroking her soft fur 🐾🖐️, giving her tasty treats 🍪, and sharing stories of their own beloved pets 🐕🐾🐈. Holly lapped up all the attention (and biscuits! 😋🍪) while we soaked up the happiness she brought.

A huge thank you to Holly for making today truly special 💖🐾. We’re all very much looking forward to her next visit! 🗓️🐕

🌟 Two Trips, One Wonderful Day! 🌟

Yesterday, the Well-being Team took seven of our amazing residents out on two fantastic adventures — and what a day it was! 🚐✨

🌿 First stop: Lakeland Wildlife Oasis in Milnthorpe
A peaceful and picturesque setting where residents enjoyed a stroll, admired the wildlife, and tucked into a few sweet treats surrounded by greenery. Ducks were spotted, conversations flowed, and everyone left with a big smile. 🦆🍰💚

🍷 Later that day, a second group headed off to Crooklands Hotel for an equally lovely afternoon. Residents shared a pot of tea, two glasses of wine, and even a cheeky half of lager — because why not? Life’s about balance! ☕🍷🍺

Both outings were full of joy, laughter, and connection — just the kind of enrichment we love to bring to our care home community. 💬💞

🚤☀️ What a marvellous day out on the water! ☀️🚤

Today, the amazing Wellbeing Team at Kendal Care Home treated our lovely residents to a scenic boat ride on Windermere! 🌊🛥️ We set sail from Bowness and cruised all the way down to Fell Foot and back again, soaking in the fresh air and breathtaking views of the Lake District 🏞️💙

The laughter was flowing, the smiles were endless, and the joy was absolutely contagious 😄🎉 The residents loved every moment — from watching the ducks glide by 🦆 to waving at fellow boaters along the way 👋🚢

It’s days like these that create the most special memories 💫💛 A huge thank you to everyone who made today possible — and to Windermere itself for showing off its sparkling best 🌟⛵
