I was put on a waiting list in 2023. I was told to ‘get fit’ for the op so I joined Tracy’s chair exercise classes January 2024.

🟨 FEELING THE BENEFITS:
My hip was a problem; it also affected my knee & my general well-being.
From the start of me attending classes on Tuesday & Friday each week,
I started to feel the benefits.
The range of movements covered over all joints gave me a real balance & to how I started to feel.
Working with the ball & resistance bands strengthened & stabilized my knees & helped my hip a lot.
My hip movement remained good & minimized pain so that I hardly used any pain killers!
🟨 VALUABLE & PRACTICAL LESSONS:
Tracy worked on our core strength & balance.
We learnt how to lift & support our own body weight.
This was the most beneficial of all exercises.
Lifting oneself up from chairs, beds & being able to move about with that level of independence was liberating!
That lesson alone was the one I valued most.
I believe it this ought to be taught prior to all knee & hip surgeries.
On top of all the wonderful practical skills Tracy teaches in her classes, Tracy herself has a positive attitude. Her happy, informative classes are a joy & testament to my quick recovery.
I had my operation late 1st July- home on the 2nd.
Walking around shopping 10 days later
Back in classes with full participation 15th July.
