From September 2025, the NHS will start sending negative smear test (cervical screening) results directly to patients via the NHS App, with a notification and message appearing in the app.

If you don't read the message within 72 hours, a letter will be sent to you as a backup. Abnormal test results will continue to be sent by post for now.

We are sorry, but we are very short staffed today and have reached capacity for urgent appointments. Sadly this is unforeseen and beyond our control on a busy Monday.

Please note this is for both face to face and telephone appointments.

If you have a problem which needs to be seen urgently today- we advise you call NHS 111 for advice, attend the Kendal Urgent Treatment Centre or A&E if appropriate. The pharmacy can also help with several minor conditions.

We apologise for any inconvenience but please do use the other urgent/emergency NHS provisions available for you today if you need them.

Exciting news! Our Flu/Covid clinics are available for you to book 🥳

🙏Please give us time to contact everybody- as you can imagine we have thousands of messages to send. Rest assured, we will contact patients in good time.
📅Our planned Saturday clinics are for the 4th, 11th and 18th of October, but we will also be offering some late evenings from October.
👶Nasal flu clinics for 2 and 3 year olds is to be confirmed, but we will contact parents & guardians soon!
🏠Housebound and Care Home patients will be contacted separately

❗️Please be aware eligibility for the Covid Autumn booster has changed and is now being offered to aged 75 years and over, immunosuppressed and care home residents for older adults ❗️
