The Power of Trigger Point Therapy β¨
Last week I went for a run after a long break. Instead of pacing myself (like I always tell my clients to), I pushed too hard.Β
The next morning was a struggle. It hurt to turn over in bed, it hurt going downstairs and it hurt to walk π
At first I panicked but then I grabbed my trigger point massage ball. After just 30 minutes of focused work on my quads, the relief was instant. By the next day, it felt like a miracle...I could walk again, pain-free!Β
It was such a powerful reminder how simple but effective trigger point therapy can be and why I include it in all my treatments π€©
What is trigger point therapy?
Trigger points are tight knots in muscles that can cause pain, stiffness, and even referred pain in other areas of the body. These can develop from overuse, injury, or poor posture. By applying sustained pressure to these points, we release muscle tension, improve blood flow, and reduce pain.Β Β
