Game changer.
We have a new pet here at S2C! The owl was kindly donated to us by the guys at Bro Room.

It's an owl labs 360 degree conference cam, and with the right setup, it's going to give us the means to run sessions, meetings, events and band practice remotely and we can invite people to join in the outlying areas, or anywhere, for that matter.

The group were off to the exhibition at Abbot Hall Gallery today by Simon Starling. An artist who creates work that uses materials from a place to make something and then uses them for something else. For example he refurbished a boat, went fishing in it then burnt the boat to cook the fish. The remains of the boat were on display.

We sketched scenes from the exhibition then made paper boats out of the sketches following the idea of the exhibition turning one thing into something else.

Reminder—WeCreate Wednesday 15th October

The group this week are heading to Abbott Hall Art Gallery. The group is meeting at 9.30 at the Unit for a quick half hour activity then heading over to the gallery about 10.10-10.15 for 10.30. Entry is free as part of the group and the lovely Astrid from Abbott Hall will show us round the current exhibition and create a little art. We will have coffee at the gallery cafe.

The group were on with mixed media Lake District views. We started outlining in pen the shapes of the hills. We then collaged text and maps to pick out the details of edged and added a wash of watercolour over everything. We then finally added details using fine liners.
