📢 Patient Notice – Upcoming System Change

This month we will be changing to a new computer system as part of a mandatory change taking place across GP practices in Wales.

🔹 From 10th April – Online prescription ordering and online appointment booking will be temporarily switched off.

🔹 From 16th April – The surgery will be running skeleton services only, so routine appointments will not be available during this time.

We understand this may cause some inconvenience and we really appreciate your patience while we make this important change. The move is part of a national programme and not a decision made by the practice.

Thank you for your understanding while we work to get everything up and running as smoothly as possible.

Due to a power cut over night, our computer systems are currently down. We are unable to access any patient records. We would be grateful if you could ring for acute medical problems only today. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. We will post and update when things are up and running.

SURGERY CLOSURE FOR TRAINING

This afternoon, Tuesday 18th February, the surgery will be closed in the afternoon from 1pm.

All GP surgeries in the Cwm Taf locality will be closed for training, and the GP out of hours service will be providing cover.

Please ensure that prescriptions are collected before 1pm.

FLU VACCINE 2024

Our flu vaccine clinics will be held at at the surgery this year. Current advice is to start the vaccine programme from October. An appointment must be booked before hand.

Please ring the surgery after 3pm for an appointment (01656 740359). Our telephone lines are busy prior to this due to triage appointments.

Everyone aged 65 and over (and those turning 65 before 31st March 2025) are eligible for the flu vaccine. Those under 65 with underlying health conditions are also eligible for the vaccine.

School aged children will be offered the vaccine at school if appropriate.

An appointment must be booked beforehand.
