Yes, yes and yes… as many of our clients already know!

Bowen too, working with the central nervous system to help the body to ease and return to the natural alignment it wants but can sometimes struggle to get back to on its own following injury, surgery or excessive focus on function over form especially in formative (still growing physically) years.

The body’s ability to support and heal itself is amazing.

Humming, singing, etc support the vagus nerve as well as this point about nitric oxide, and indeed humming will have a positive impact on diaphragmatic function too.

Bowen therapy/Reflexology?
We are here for when your body needs a little nudge towards improved wellness, meanwhile do not overlook things you can do for yourself🤗

Some of our self-help videos are here too. https://youtu.be/mlw_3Wvf4F0

Just 10 seconds of humming can increase nitric oxide levels by up to 1400%. That is a powerful shift from something so simple and accessible.Nitric oxide is a natural molecule produced in the body. It helps widen blood vessels, improve circulation, and support oxygen delivery throughout tissues. When you hum, vibrations travel through the sinuses and nasal passages. These vibrations stimulate the release of nitric oxide in the nasal cavity, which can then move into the lungs during breathing.

Higher nitric oxide levels may help the body in several ways. It supports blood flow, which helps oxygen reach cells more efficiently. Some laboratory research suggests nitric oxide also has antimicrobial properties, meaning it may help the body defend against certain pathogens. Improved circulation and oxygenation can support overall cellular function, including repair processes.

However, a 1400% increase does not mean 1400% better health. The body works within balanced systems. The boost from humming is temporary and part of normal physiology. It is a supportive habit, not a replacement for medical care or treatment.

Still, the simplicity is encouraging. Deep breathing and humming can calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and gently support respiratory health. These small actions activate powerful biological pathways.

Sometimes wellness begins with the smallest habits.

Ten seconds of sound. A simple breath. A reminder that your body already holds remarkable tools for balance and healing.

Take nothing personally.

There is a quiet freedom that begins the moment you stop making everything about you.

Someone doesn’t like you?
That is their taste, not your value.

Someone judges you?
That is their perception, not your truth.

Someone chooses to leave your life?
That is their path, not your rejection.

Most of what people say, think, or do
is a reflection of their own fears, wounds, beliefs, and expectations —
not a precise measurement of who you are.

But when we take things personally,
we hand our emotional stability
to other people’s moods and opinions.

Their bad day becomes our self-doubt.
Their projection becomes our insecurity.
Their distance becomes our worth.

This is how we unknowingly abandon ourselves.

Not taking things personally
doesn’t mean becoming cold or indifferent.
It means staying rooted.

Rooted in your values.
Rooted in your self-respect.
Rooted in your inner clarity.

You begin to see clearly:
Not everyone will understand you.
Not everyone will choose you.
Not everyone will stay.

And that is not tragedy —
that is life sorting itself honestly.

The moment you stop chasing approval,
defending every misunderstanding,
or shrinking to fit expectations,
you reclaim authorship of your own life.

Because you were never meant
to be shaped by every opinion that passes by.

You are not here
to be liked by everyone.

You are here
to live truthfully,
grow consciously,
and walk your path with dignity.

So let them misunderstand.
Let them judge.
Let them walk away.

You keep walking too —
unburdened.

That is freedom.

When things feel out of control, you start believing the lie that YOU have no control.

But there’s always something you can do - even if it’s just shifting the way you think about your situation, or just taking one small action.

That's my goal with creating this newsletter for you.

Every Monday and Thursday, first thing in the morning, I send you mindset tools or practical strategies to help you take your power back - starting with what’s right in front of you.

Sometimes it’s a tool that’ll help you get ahead in your career, or feel more confident.

Sometimes it’s a simple but powerful health protocol that’ll give you more energy.

Sometimes it’s a personal story that’ll help you feel less alone.

But it’s never about shame, doing more just to feel productive, or forcing yourself to power through when you’re already running on empty.

It’s about doing the right things, with intention.

If you want a quick preview, tomorrow's newsletter is about this one weird but effective tool I've been using every morning before I start my day that not only gives me more energy but makes me incredibly productive.

Why we don’t just, for example, work ‘the bit that hurts’, ‘the bit that looks out of alignment’ and why we explain that stretching is not really a thing…

Clench your teeth (lightly, not max).

Now bend forward and reach toward your toes.

Come back up.

Relax your jaw: lips closed, teeth not touching.

Bend forward again.

If the second rep felt different (range, ease, low-back grab, hip tension)… That wasn’t flexibility. That was your jaw changing your pelvic brace.

Most people don’t realize these two structures are linked. Not just through posture or movement habits, but through your developmental blueprint. They formed from the same embryonic tissue. They’re connected by fascia that wraps your entire nervous system. When one moves, the other responds.

This is why your hip pain keeps coming back no matter how much you stretch. This is why your pelvic floor won’t release no matter how many exercises you do. This is why your lower back locks up and nothing seems to fix it.

You’ve been treating the pelvis. But the signal is coming from above.

I wrote about exactly how this connection works and why it’s one of three inputs that control your entire posture. When you understand these three systems, you’ll understand why stretching never fixed anything.
