We’re so sorry, the locum pharmacist hasn’t turned up which means legally we can’t open. Staff are there. They cannot sell anything or give you prescription medicines but they can give you your paper prescription back if you need it before Tuesday.

We’re so sorry 😞

Update: another locum should be there by 12. I know it’s only an hour but the best I could do. Please bear in mind the staff have no control over this. Thank you for your understanding ❤️

Getting your blood pressure checked could save your life.
Here at Leyes Lane Pharmacy we run a free blood pressure check clinic every Monday for those aged over 40. Simply pop in on any Monday or call 01926 859 232 to book.

Just to let everyone know, due to unforeseen circumstances we will have to close this afternoon (don’t worry, everyone’s ok 😂). You may see some staff working but I’m afraid they will not legally be allowed to open the doors as there will not be a pharmacist on the premises.
We are here until 1.00 so please try and come before then if you need anything urgently.

All will be back to normal tomorrow.

Good morning

We’re so sorry but I’m afraid we have to close today. Between staff holidays and widespread sickness I’m afraid we just don’t have enough staff to open safely.

If you have a prescription with us that you need today, please go to 111 urgent supply online. This will allow you to send a referral to another pharmacy to get a few days worth of your medication. The same service can be accessed by telephoning 111.

We are very sorry and all being well we will be open as normal from tomorrow.

Good morning!

So, pharmacies locally have not received any prescriptions electronically since midnight on Thursday.

If you are going to run out and have access to a computer you can go onto NHS 111 online urgent supply. Here you will be able to trigger a referral to your pharmacy which will allow them to issue a limited quantity of prescription medicine for you. Not all medicines are allowed to be issued but the pharmacy will do an assessment and help where they can.

If you do not have computer access you can ring NHS 111 for the same service.

Please bear in mind next week that when the systems are finally back up and running there will be a significant backlog/delay for all the pharmacies.

We will all do our very best to clear it as quickly as we can!

Many of you will be familiar with Danni. For those of you who are not, Danni came to us at 18 from sixth form. She worked hard over the following years and qualified as a Medicines Counter Assistant and then carried on to qualify as a Dispensing Assistant. Did she stop there? She did not! She went off to Uni to do Pharmacy.

Over the last 5 years she has overcome significant obstacles and hardships to get her to yesterday, collecting her Pharmacy Degree. One more year of on the job training and she’s ready to fly solo (in my opinion she already is).

We are so, so proud of you Danni. You are intelligent, thoughtful, kind and hard working and to be honest a good laugh to have around. We are so pleased to have been part of your journey!
