Abbey Medical Centre will be closed from 12:30pm on Thursday 22nd January 2026, due to staff training.

We will be back open on Friday 23rd January 2026, with online medical forms open from 8am, and phone lines open from 8:30am.

Cervical screening is for women between the ages of 25 and 64. Everyone with a cervix should be offered screening.

You'll be invited every 5 years from when you're 25 to 64 years old and you'll get your first invitation a few months before you turn 25.

Cervical cancer is a cancer that's found anywhere in the cervix. It's most common in women aged between 30 and 35.

Cervical screening can help prevent cervical cancer by checking for high-risk HPV. So, it’s important that you book and attend your appointment when you are invited.

🚶‍♀️ Walking for Health – Free Weekly Walks

Join us every Friday at 12:30pm, starting from Abbey Medical Centre.
Three ability-based routes led by trained volunteers - suitable for all levels.

Great for staying active, recovery, and enjoying a walk with friendly company.

🎄 There is also a walk taking place on Boxing Day at 12:30pm. The route will be decided on the day based on weather and group ability.
