Congratulations to Jen Palmer who is the deserved winner of our employee of the quarter. Jen has been supporting the wellbeing and lifestyle department in the absence of Chris Shields during his convalescence. Yesterday the residents at Rokewood Court Care Home enjoyed a delicious cheese tasting afternoon. There were six cheeses to try and the residents had to guess the name of each one. It was really fun and trickier than they expected it to be.
Our residents have voted that next time we do a chocolate tasting afternoon and of course we are more than happy to oblige!

At the weekend we had the privilege of celebrating a very special 102nd birthday here at Rokewood Court Care Home. Geoff is a truly amazing man and we are so happy he is part of our Rokewood family. Geoff's family and staff members gathered in our reception area to sing him happy birthday which was such a precious moment and then they all then enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea together in the lounge. It was a wonderful day filled with love and laughter. Happy birthday dear Geoff 🩵💙

This week we launched our new weekly singalong session 'Music from our memories' As the weather was so glorious, we went out onto the balcony and we spent a lovely hour singing along to a variety of songs, these included well known songs, national songs, songs from musicals and even a few nursery rhymes.
