Nurse Faye takes time to get to know her patients, their faces and their expectations and refreshingly in our meeting she determined which (if any) of his treatments I was suitable for. In my case it was Botox and so I decided to join the increasing number of men who are see it as a great anti-ageing option.Nurse Faye crucially also took time to ask me about my expectations and analysed my ability to move certain muscles in my face, I also felt completely free to ask him any questions about the process. Finally she administered a few tiny injections of Botox directly into the muscles that caused my lines and wrinkles and the treatment took less than 10 minutes.

Within days I noticed a markedly reduced appearance in the lines and wrinkles on my forehead, and around the eye area. Two weeks later when I dropped by for a follow up I had a fresher face to end the year and within any luck I’ll remain line-free for a few more months to come.

Prior to the treatment Dr Naughton applied a topical numbing cream to the treatment area, in my case above the brows, Once the cream had worked its magic she placed the handheld device (attached to the Sofwave apparatus) against the skin and then each area was heated. If I’m honest on occasion there was a sharp stinging sensation, then happily the machine would beep indication that that the ‘pass’ over that area was complete.🎉🎊💥

In terms of the time frame for expected results, this can take from around six weeks and last for nine to twentyfou months. In my case I am thrilled to see that there was an immediate visible change to the appearance of my sunken brows which were (and have remained) lifted. Another win was that post treatment there was no down time and I was able to go back to work immediately😎😁

🇧🇷 GRANADO / BRAZILIAN BEAUTY FOR THE BEAST 🇧🇷

Did you know that I’ve just samba-ed my way back from two weeks in sun soaked Rio? Well I have.. and my luggage would have been a good deal lighter had I realised that Brazilian heritage beauty brand Granado… was also available exclusively at Liberty.

One of my favourite go to grooming brands, Granado originally launched in 1870 thanks to José Antonio Coxito Granado who owned a small farm from which he created effective beauty products brimming with native plants, herbs and flowers. Misterio Granado pioneered 100% vegetable-based glycerin soaps and also antiseptic talc, and the brand that he launched became the official pharmacy of the Brazilian Royal Family and been a staple in Brazilian bathrooms for well over a century.

My picks from the current collection are the smokey and blokey ‘Vintage Sândalo Scented Candle’ it is made from vegetable wax so it burns slowly whilst releasing heady notes of Sandalwood and Citrus. I’m also spritzing ‘Cedro Eau de Toilette’ not only is it is the perfect day to night fragrance it’s also the driest and sexiest Cedarwood fragrance that I have ever been enveloped in. Warm, earthy and suitable for all sexes expect to also pick up notes of Hibiscus, Amber and Musk.
