In Ayurveda and TCM, we’re always finding balance and ways to support our digestive fire!

Ice cold drinks Weaken digestive fire and shocks the system.
The body is always working to maintain internal balance (homeostasis). When you drink something cold, it creates a stress response — your body must use energy to bring the liquid back to body temperature. That wastes precious digestive energy.

From a functional medicine lens, cold constricts tissues and can temporarily reduce enzyme secretion, bile flow, and gut motility, all key for optimal digestion.

Don’t forget rest! SPF! Basking in nature and fruit and vegetables as hydration.

I know it can seem so frustrating when we’re doing everything right, and the pressure of socialising and being “ON” over Summer… 

Remember, our body is ALWAYS communicating with us, and it’s just asking for a little bit of attention, and very simple tweaks. If you can tune into your bodies needs for a moment - it can be a small body scan, taking a few breaths asking what your body needs… start with these…

🪴Stimulate stomach acid
1 tsp raw apple cider vinegar or ginger tea before meals to support HCl. Zinc and B6 are key cofactors.

🌱Balance your electrolytes
Add a pinch of mineral salt and squeeze of lemon to water. Nettle infusions (brew nettle tea and leave overnight)

🌱Choose warming, easy-to-digest meals
 lightly sautéed veg with cumin or fennel, warm broth-based soups, or try congee with your kitchen herbs.

🪴 Support your microbiome
Bloating often signals SIBO or dysbiosis. Consider a broad stool test or try prebiotic-rich foods.

✨Reset your nervous system
Vagal breathing (long exhales), gargling, cold splashes on the face, or a few minutes of humming pre-meal can switch your body into rest-and-digest mode.

A naturopathic and functional medicine practitioner based in Chelsea, London. But I’m lucky to have clients from all over the world!

My work is rooted in ancient wisdom and modern science. Supporting women through the full arc of their womanhood: from hormonal imbalances and fertility preparation to burnout, emotional clarity, creative blocks, and rebirth.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all healing.

I believe in the healing capacity of honouring your deep soul beauty. In all of the cycles of your life - the colourful, the heavy, the changing, the discoloured, and melancholic. All of the shades of being human, that none of us can escape. We are here for deep nourishment that reaches your cells and the aliveness of you - your spirit.

Everything I do is anchored in restoring your natural vitality: through food, herbs, nature, emotional coherence, nervous system repair, and honouring the your seasons. I support women (and men) 1:1 and in small curated circles, where we slow down, go deep, and remember what it feels like to live in harmony with your body.

Summer is on the horizon!! The heat pulls us outward. The schedules get fuller and with all of the joy and aliveness of the season, it can sometimes leave us a little depleted with the intensity of constant motion…
Though sometimes, this sudden eruption can cause some disturbance within our system. A duality between your body and heart wanting slowness and stillness but your mind feeling FOMO.

This 1 day retreat was created from that exact space.

New research is showing that resistance training isn’t just good for your muscles, it can reverse signs of skin aging at the cellular level.

A 2023 study in Scientific Reports followed women over 40 and found that just 16 weeks of resistance training:

Reduced inflammatory markers in the blood

Increased collagen and dermal thickness

Improved skin elasticity and glow

This study reinforces an understudied aspect of women’s health: our skin reflects our internal biology and movement is medicine!

Daily glimpses.
Everything, every action is a ritual to life 🌺🌺

This is what daily Senegalese life is teaching me.

and whilst the purpose of our lives is to grow ourselves …So we can BLOOM into our full potential ….

Though, our modern lives are quite fixed and rigid not allowing for too much change.

But change is who we are….we mirror nature….constant TRANSFORMATION….death and rebirth…

We only experience the greatest pain, when we avoid the gentle whispers of life….they then grow bigger and bigger until we finally listen when we are on our knees (in whatever form: sickness…betrayal, job loss, relationship breakdown, bad decisions etc etc)

When you offer presence at the end of your day…in either a moment of prayer, meditation, journaling, or meditation . You will always recount that there were far more moments of magic and beauty than not….

C’est ce que la vie quotidienne au Sénégal m’enseigne.

Et bien que le but de notre existence soit de nous épanouir… pour que nous puissions FLEURIR dans notre plein potentiel…

Nos vies modernes sont souvent rigides, figées, ne laissant que peu de place au changement.

Mais le changement, c’est notre essence… nous sommes le reflet de la nature… en transformation constante… mort et renaissance…

C’est lorsque nous résistons aux doux murmures de la vie que la douleur devient plus grande… jusqu’à ce que nous soyons obligés d’écouter, à genoux (sous une forme ou une autre : maladie, trahison, perte d’emploi, rupture, mauvais choix, etc.)

Mais si tu offres ta présence à la fin de ta journée… dans un moment de prière, de méditation, d’écriture ou de silence…
Tu constateras toujours qu’il y a eu bien plus de moments de magie et de beauté que tu ne le pensais…
