Let’s talk about the real difference between advising and coaching — and why it matters when you’re creating the life you truly want.

Advisors give answers. Coaches hold space for your own wisdom to rise.

The shift from “fixing” to “witnessing,” from “talking” to “deep listening,” is subtle but powerful. Coaching isn’t about telling you what to do — it’s about helping you remember who you are.

It’s learning to sit in the silence instead of filling it.
To ask questions that unlock clarity instead of giving advice that keeps you dependent.
To hold a mirror to your inner world so you can manage your energy, choices, and truth — rather than trying to manage others.

When I shifted from advisor to coach, everything changed.

✨ The Myth of Normal by Dr. Gabor Maté is one of those books that lands deep in the body.

Let’s get into it!

We live in a world where burnout is celebrated, emotional suppression is expected, and disconnection is the norm and we call it “normal.” But as Gabor says, just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s healthy.

What we’ve normalised…the people pleasing, the hustle, the perfectionism, the numbing, these are often trauma responses in disguise. And trauma? It isn’t just the ‘big stuff.’ It’s anything that disconnects you from your true self.

This book reminds us that true healing isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level self-care. It’s about reconnection to your body, your boundaries, your emotions, your truth.

💭 Ask yourself:
• Where have I abandoned myself for approval?
• What pain am I still carrying that I haven’t named?
• Where am I still performing instead of being?

You don’t need to “get better.”
You need to come back to yourself.
To feel what you’ve been taught to avoid.
To honour what your body already knows.

You are not broken.

This question is powerful. Every time something shakes you — a reaction, a trigger, a moment that pulls you out of alignment — pause and gently ask yourself… What is it about me?

✨ Your inner world always creates your outer experience.
So if the outside feels chaotic, cloudy or confusing, that’s your invitation to go within.

🦋 Don’t fall into the trap of blaming the outside world — the people, the energy, the circumstances. That’s victim consciousness.
Instead, be brave enough to look within. Because what’s inside is what’s attracting, creating, and interpreting what’s outside.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Our daily practices — stillness, mindfulness, prayer, breathwork, yoga, reflection — these aren’t just habits. They’re soul tools. Tools that help us release, realign, and return to flow.

🌀 The ego wants to defend, argue, cling, react.
But your Higher Self knows how to centre, breathe, observe, and rise.

✨ Before you react to criticism, judgment, or chaos — pause.

Tell yourself:

🌱✨ Let’s Talk About Belief…

Our beliefs are powerful!
They shape how we see ourselves what we think we deserve 💸 and the energy we move through the world with 🌍

But here’s the thing most people don’t realise…

We don’t always choose our beliefs many of them are inherited 👶🏾 absorbed or shaped by past wounds 💔
We believe first… and question later. That’s just how the brain works.

✨ Here’s what I want you to know about belief:

1️⃣ You didn’t choose every belief you hold
Your subconscious picked up messages from your childhood, your culture, your trauma.
Some of those beliefs are outdated 🕰️ and keeping you stuck. The good news? You can rewire them 🔁

2️⃣ Your brain looks for evidence to prove your beliefs right.
If you believe you’re not good enough, you’ll find proof everywhere 😞
But if you believe you’re worthy of joy and success — you’ll start finding proof of that too 🌟

3️⃣ Beliefs feel like truth — but that doesn’t mean they are
Just because something feels familiar 🤔 doesn’t mean it’s right for you anymore.
Old stories can be rewritten 📝

4️⃣ Beliefs are contagious
Who you surround yourself with matters
Energy is real ⚡Choose environments that water your growth not your fear 😨

5️⃣ You’re allowed to let go of beliefs that don’t serve you
Even if they’ve been with you for years ⏳
Even if they come from people you love ❤️
You get to believe something new now 🔓

💫 Here’s how to start shifting your beliefs:

🌀 Get curious about the thoughts that repeat. Ask:
👉🏽 “Is this true?”
👉🏽 “Who taught me this?”

🌈 Look for proof of what’s possible, not just what’s familiar.

🤍 Be gentle with yourself when old patterns show up.

🔊 Speak your new truths out loud daily, lovingly, intentionally.

💛 You are not broken… you’re just carrying beliefs that aren’t yours

Let’s rewire them.

Not what sounds good. Not what’s expected. What you deeply, truly want. Say it. Write it. Own it. This is where the shift begins.

Want the dream? See yourself doing the work — the early mornings, the deep breaths, the brave yes’s and the powerful no’s. That’s where the magic grows.

✨ Here’s how I welcome my emotional triggers as messengers of self-discovery:

1.  Pause and Listen: When strong feelings arise, I pause to create space and listen to what my shadow self needs to express. This is where healing begins. 🧘‍♀️

2.  Explore Courageously: I am brave enough to explore the parts of myself I’ve hidden away. My reactions contain wisdom that leads me to wholeness. 🌈

3.  Approach with Curiosity: Instead of judgment, I meet my triggers with curiosity. Each moment of emotional intensity is an opportunity for healing and integration. 🦋

4.  Honour All Aspects: I honour every part of myself—even those I’ve denied. As I acknowledge my shadow, I reclaim my authentic power. 🌟

💡 Inner Healing Tips:
* Reflect on what you fear others might discover about you. What lies have you told yourself or others?
* Consider the most upsetting aspects of people in your life. These are often projections from past pain.

Did you know that the BIGGEST life-transforming secret of the ages isn’t some external technology or discovery? It’s the MIRACLE-WORKING POWER in your own subconscious mind! 🧠✨

As someone who’s worked with women reclaiming their power after abuse, I’ve seen firsthand how our thoughts create our reality. Your mind is like a garden - plant seeds of doubt and fear, and that’s what grows. Plant seeds of confidence and possibility and watch your life transform! 🌱→🌳

💖 Power Tips for Activating Your Subconscious:

1.  Replace “I can’t afford it” with “I am attracting the perfect resources for me.”
2.  Before sleep, feed your mind with images of perfect health and success.
3.  Speak to your fears like Caruso did: “The Little Me ego wants to strangle the Big Me True self within!” - tell those fears to BE GONE!!!
4.  Repeat affirmations with FEELING, getting into the feeling is crucial! - “I am worthy, I am capable, I attract abundance.”

One of my clients, a 75-year-old widow, began affirming, “I am wanted. I am happily married to a kind, loving man. I am secure!” She repeated this daily for a few weeks... and met her perfect match at a bus stop! They’re now travelling Europe together! (true story!!) 🥰

Remember: Your subconscious doesn’t judge your thoughts - it simply accepts them as instructions. What beautiful instructions are you giving it today? 💭

This practice IS self-care! For anyone feeling stuck, your mind holds the key to freedom! Start instructing your subconscious mind on what you want, not ruminating on what you don’t want.

Big Tip: Imagine yourself in 5 years living your dream life, write it down, and read it every morning and before you sleep, and don’t forget, get into the feeling of it!

Feeling scared about being judged by others? You’re definitely not alone, my friend! 🌟

Today I want to talk about something that affects ALL of us - that paralysing fear of what others might think about us.

Have you caught yourself wondering what your friends, family, or social media followers might think if you truly expressed yourself?
That little voice saying, “What if they judge me?” can hold us back from living our most joyful, authentic lives!

Now here’s the thing:
We ALL judge - it’s what our brains do automatically. That person at Whole Foods with the perfect outfit you noticed? The colleague who speaks differently? You formed an opinion. Even our favourite people face our constant judgment!

The beautiful irony?
While we fear being judged, we’re judging others all day long without even realising it!

⛓️‍💥 Why This Fear Holds Us Back ⛓️
Our two biggest fears are often:

* Fear of abandonment: Will they reject me?
* Fear of inadequacy: Am I good enough?

Both stem from judgment! And they keep us playing small, hiding our light, and not sharing our gifts with the world.
This fear of judgment particularly impacts women who have experienced disempowerment or abuse. When you’ve been told your voice doesn’t matter or your worth is determined by others, breaking free becomes even more challenging - but also more ESSENTIAL!!

You may have internalised others’ judgments, believing you’re “too much” or “not enough.” These limiting beliefs weren’t created by you, but YOU have the power to release them.
Your unique perspective, shaped by your experiences, is precisely what makes your voice valuable. The world NEEDS your wisdom!

Tips to Break Free 🦋
1.  Accept that judgment is inevitable - when you embrace this truth, it loses its power over you
2.  Remember: people’s opinions reflect THEM, not YOU
3.  Focus on what the world needs from you, not how “good” you are
4.  Start each day with self-compassion, not self-judgment
5.  Ask yourself: “What could my life look like if I took action despite potential judgment?”
6.  Surround yourself with women who celebrate rather than compete

Hey Feel Free Community! I am beginning my website (scary 😱) and would love some loving constructive feedback on my about page. Thoughts? Welcome to my page! I’m Lucinda, a passionate Life Coach and therapist dedicated to empowering women to live their fullest lives without limits. My journey began with a deeply personal experience—living with my children in a women’s refuge. This chapter of my life compelled me to volunteer and sparked a lifelong commitment to making a difference by changing laws and implementing services that I didn’t have access to.
With years of experience supporting 1000’s of women through various challenges, I have cultivated a deep understanding of the unique hurdles they face and the incredible strength they possess. Over the years, I’ve held various roles, including Director for National Women’s Aid and Integrated Domestic Violence Advocate for Advance, a national charity. These experiences have shaped my approach, emphasizing empathy, empowerment, and the importance of feeling heard.
Additionally, I set up various services throughout the borough and traveled globally, engaging in public speaking and feasibility studies. These efforts were instrumental in establishing London’s first Domestic Violence Magistrates Court, enhancing survivors’ safety and holding perpetrators accountable.
I founded Feel Free Life Coaching and am now dedicating my time to building a community. I want Feel Free community to always be a safe space designed to support, educate, and empower women of all ages. My mission is to inspire a movement where women can thrive, feel secure, have their voices valued, and live their lives without limits. Through personalized coaching and therapeutic support, I aim to guide women towards personal growth, self-discovery, and holistic well-being.

Hey Feel Free Community! ✨

This is an absolute truth bomb for you here today: 

If you want real change in your life, you’ve got to become the architect of your habits and master of your subconscious mind!

We all know that feeling of wanting something different but finding ourselves stuck in the same patterns. Why? Because our subconscious LOVES comfort, even when that “comfort” is actually hurting us or hindering our progression! 🤯

Here’s what I’ve learned on my journey and what’s worked with the amazing people I’ve coached:

1️⃣ Create a crystal-clear vision of what YOU truly want not what others think you should want! 💎

2️⃣ Take small, consistent daily steps toward that vision 👣

3️⃣ Notice when self-sabotage creeps in those moments when you talk yourself OUT of positive action 🤔

4️⃣ Respond with self-compassion, not criticism 💜

When you feel resistance, try this powerful affirmation:

“It feels easy and effortless for me to adopt this new habit.” 💫

Remember, overwhelm is the enemy of change! 

Choose ONE habit to transform at a time. Your subconscious needs repetition to create the new neural pathways.

For my people out there, who are always put serving others first- this self-discipline IS self-care. 💞

By showing up for yourself consistently, you’re actually becoming more present and effective for those you love, which radiates love you want for them and gives permission to them to be and do the same. ✨💖
