This week, Heatherdale stepped back in time to the iconic decade of the 1960s! Flower power and flared trousers ruled the day as the home was transformed into a psychedelic, cosmic explosion of colour, complete with shimmering disco balls and vibrant balloons. 🌸✨

Residents fully embraced the spirit of the era, taking part in a fun and fast-paced 60s quiz that sparked plenty of laughter and brought back cherished memories from their younger years.
All that reminiscing worked up an appetite, just in time to enjoy a delicious traditional 1960s-inspired lunch. The menu was a real treat, featuring classic favourites such as hearty meatloaf followed by the ever-popular Black Forest gateau.

The afternoon continued on a high note with fantastic live entertainment from the wonderful Frankie Dean, who had everyone tapping their toes and singing along to the super sounds of the 60s. 🎶

It was truly a wonderful day filled with fun, music, laughter, and memory-making.

On Thursday, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Criterion Strummers Ukulele Band to perform at Heatherdale. This was not their first visit with us, and once again they certainly did not disappoint! Their lively set had something for everyone, with toe-tapping favourites ranging from ABBA to Status Quo, truly rocking the house.

Residents and families alike couldn’t resist joining in, singing along, dancing, and soaking up the wonderful atmosphere throughout the afternoon. Laughter, music, and smiles filled the room, making it a truly memorable experience.
An amazing time was had by all, and we are already looking forward to their next visit! 🎶😊

Heatherdale celebrated New Year’s Eve in true style today with an absolute bumper of a party! 🥳🍾🥂🎉
Residents, friends, family, and staff came together to mark the final day of 2025 in fantastic spirits. We were treated to live entertainment from the incredible Frankie Dean, who belted out all the hits and had everyone singing along and dancing the afternoon away!

Our kitchen team outdid themselves with a glorious buffet that was enjoyed by all, while the bar was flowing freely to quench everyone’s thirst. Laughter, music, and great company filled the room, making it a perfect way to say goodbye to an unforgettable year.

2025 has truly been a blast — now bring on 2026!

Today at Heatherdale, we were delighted to welcome a very special visitor — Santa himself 🎅
Despite his incredibly busy schedule, he made an extra stop just for us, bringing plenty of festive cheer.
Santa took the time to personally visit all our lovely residents, delivering their Christmas presents with a smile and a kind word for everyone. His visit added an extra magical sparkle to Christmas Eve, filling Heatherdale with warmth, happiness, and the true spirit of the season. 🎄✨🎅
