Yesterday at Heatherdale we celebrated a very important birthday, it was our lovely Margaret's 90th Birthday. Margaret celebrated with family and friends and received lots of fabulous cards and presents and a delicious cake made by our kitchen team. Today at Heatherdale, unfortunately we had to say a fond farewell to 2 of our fabulous carers. Both Tasha and Smitha are moving on to pastures new and I am sure everyone will join us in wishing them both good luck in there new jobs. They will both be missed massively. On Saturday, the residents came together for a lively and much-anticipated afternoon, gathering to watch the Grand National 🐎
Excitement filled the room as everyone had taken part in the sweepstake, each person eagerly backing their chosen horse and hoping for a winning result.
With lots of cheers, laughter, and friendly competition it made a truly enjoyable event for all.
The race itself kept everyone on the edge of their seats, as fortunes changed with every jump and turn.
It was a fantastic opportunity for residents to socialise, share in the thrill of the day, and celebrate the spirit of the occasion together.
Today, we were delighted to present prizes to our top three winners.
First, second, and third place each received a fabulous hamper filled with a selection of indulgent treats to enjoy.

Our beautiful Elsie joined us in the day room to make the most of her special day, and we all had a wonderful time together.
Elsie was delighted to receive a visit from her dear friend, and both staff and residents sang “Happy Birthday” to her.

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating David’s birthday, what a true gentleman he is!
We all gathered to sing him “Happy Birthday” and surprised him with a beautiful cake.
It was made even more special as family came along to share their love and warm wishes on his big day.

Today we had such a wonderful time celebrating Mike’s birthday! 🎉
We kicked off the day with a very special rendition of “Happy Birthday,” beautifully sung by the staff 😂 the perfect way to start the celebrations and put a big smile on Mike’s face.
After that, it was time for friends, fun, and presents! 🎁
We decorated the room with colourful birthday balloons and banners, and Mike had a lovely birthday lunch with special friends, sharing laughs and making lovely memories.
In the afternoon we gathered once again for a delicious birthday cake 🎂 and, of course, another cheerful round of “Happy Birthday” to round off the celebrations 🥳
A truly joyful day from start to finish!
