Vegetable Sunlight Guide
Not every vegetable requires full sun.
Knowing how much light your crops need helps you place them in the right spot for strong growth and abundant harvests.
Lower Sunlight (3–4 hours per day):
Swiss Chard (Zones 3–9)
Cos Lettuce (Zones 4–9)
Lettuce (Zones 4–9)
Parsley (Zones 4–9)
Arugula (Zones 3–9)
Asian Greens (Zones 3–9)
Medium Sunlight (4–6 hours per day):
Beets (Zones 4–9)
Carrots (Zones 3–9)
Potatoes (Zones 3–9)
Broccoli (Zones 5–9)
Radishes (Zones 3–10)
Turnips (Zones 3–9)
High Sunlight (6–8 hours per day):
Peppers (Zones 9–11 as perennials; grown as annuals in Zones 3–8)
Tomatoes (Zones 5–9 as annuals; longer in warm climates)
Watermelon (Zones 3–9)
Okra (Zones 5–11)
Eggplant (Zones 5–12)
Strawberries (Zones 3–10)
Tip: Leafy greens are the most shade-tolerant, while fruiting vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, and melons demand the most sunlight.

Hi Guy's I've attached more information on the categories for our Spring Flower Show 28th March if you would like to enter! Trying not to bombard you with all the info at once, so doing it in stages fist categories went out a few days ago for the Floral and Handicraft sections, Attached now is for the Horticultural, Domestic and Photography sections.
Next few days will be for the Beginners and Children's sections, hope all is clear! message me if you need more information.

Well hello All my lovely Ladies and Gents, who always come up trumps when I give them a nudge!

Yes its that time of year again, well nearly, so I thought I'd give you an early thumbs up for the Spring Show on the 28th March. St Mark's Hall, Church Road, Biggin Hill, Kent.
I'm going to start with the Floral and the Handicraft sections, so you'll have plenty of time to prepare:
