Fancy a Thai Yoga Massage properly done on the floor with Thai kapok mattress 🪷

This ancient healing practise is based on the idea that energy moves through our body along predictable lines or pathways similar to nadis in Ayurvedic principle or ‘meridians’ in Traditional Chinese Medicine - the application is a combination of acupressure using the palms, thumbs & sometimes the forearms or the elbows, knees and feet for muscle compression or joint mobilisation. Practitioners also incorporate passive stretching and gentle twisting towards the end of the session.

+ = Ashtanga standing forward folds. It took me years to fold deeper in this pose. It’s true that flexibility can not be achieved by force else you’ll end up hurting yourself... however only with patient persistence and consistent practice then flexibility is your reward and a lifelong remedy or preventive self-care to avoid any chronic pains.
