Not everything you feel is yours to carry.
Send this to the person who is always there for everyone else… but never leaves space for themselves.
You can support people without absorbing their emotions.
You can care without making it your responsibility to fix everything.
For some, taking on others’ feelings is a conscious distraction.
For others, it happens so automatically they don’t even notice.
But carrying everyone else’s weight will exhaust you.
Other people’s problems are not yours to hold.
And letting go of that doesn’t make you a bad friend, partner, or parent…
it means you finally have space to breathe instead of pouring from an empty cup.
