💁♀️Have you heard of Qigong?
Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines slow, flowing movements, focused breathing, and an intention to cultivate and balance the flow of Qi (life energy) throughout the body
It is usually practised standing, but can also be done seated. Thism makes it suitable for all levels of fitness, ability and age
💁♀️There are so many health benefits to practising Qigong including:
⭐️It warms up the muscles, tendons and ligaments and helps maintain flexibility in the joints
⭐️It promotes circulation of blood, synovial and lymphatic fluids, which in turn supports the body's self-healing abilities
⭐️Increases energy levels
⭐️Improves posture and balance
⭐️Calms the sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous system and activates the parasympathetic (rest, digest and restore) nervous system
