Amy’s Day Care is committed to provide a safe, comfortable, friendly and stimulating day care service, largely aimed at the over 65’s who may be becoming isolated or housebound

At Amy’s we understand that living with such things as dementia, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s, acquired brain injuries, mental health problems and simple old age can be isolating and distressing for both the individual and the people who care for them. The rural nature of north and west cumbria can often add to the difficulties of accessing good local care. Amy’s offers care focused on respecting the individual encouraging their independence, rights, choices and promoting activity. At Amy’s we understand how important it is to get away from it all; however we also understand that when caring for a mentally or physically disabled member of the family this is a daunting if not impossible dream. Nestled in the middle of a traditional Cumbrian fell village Amy’s Care has developed a beautiful holiday home complete with disabled facilities which is available to hire with, or without, care. With fully qualified staff available to attend the property to help with any care needed and day care already offered within the village Amy’s can facilitate a holiday for all the family.
