It was a lovely surprise to receive this beautiful bouquet of flowers from an amazing patient. It has been an honour to have been part of this lady’s rehabilitation journey. She had such an iron will and fantastic family support, which enabled her to improve more than I imagined she would.

It's difficult to start exercising at any age but particularly when you are older. It is so important for your health to do regular exercise that includes strengthening. In our 40s our muscle mass starts to decline, more so in woman due to hormanal changes. Regular exercise has multiple benefits including keeping you independent for longer, improves health both physically and mentally. Find something that you enjoy. Start slowly and build up. Plan when you are going to do it, so that you are more likely to stick to it. Make yourself a promise that you will do the best you can for you. Be selfish, you only have one body.

Just helped a gentleman to do his first slide board transfer. Giving hope to someone who was told he was dead from the waist down and will always be hoisted. Moving forwards to independence. His wife is so dedicated with helping him with his home exercises. Team work is key 💪💪
