Friday night, arrived and it was time for the BNI Gala Awards.

Around 200 members gathered at the Leicester Marriott Hotel to have a good time, recognise some amazing achievements, collaboration, dancing, drinking and a little bit of business.

Our incredible BNI Propserity walked away with TWO awards 🏆🏆 Narcisz Sweeney and Tom Lockhart congratulations we are all proud of you.

What a great BNI Prosperity meeting this morning. We had a great Ed slot on BNI and how Social Media can benefit you and your business, from Robert Bright. We had a fantastic 10 minute presentation from Tally Mann on the types of holidays and travel services she can provide with access to 420+ Holiday/Travel companies and how important it is to ensure that you have Travel Insurance and are using a company ABTA and ATOL approved. This weeks 60 seconds winner was Gordon Brown who explained how he saved a domestic customer over £2500, amazing. Why not come and visit is next week Kettering Golf Club 06:45am with a fantastic breakfast.

BNI Prosperity 6th November 2025

Another fantastic meeting led by our President Narcisz Sweeney of The Mortgage Compass Ltd.

Our core value of the week was presented by our Vice President Andy Hodson on how Recognition is important in many ways (please listen to the Video)

We had a great Ed slot this week, presented by Angela O'Donnell of S.C. Agency on how being part of a power team can really help your business working with small team with similar clients, having a great synergy and resulting in lots of good quality referrals being passed.

The best 60 second presentation was awarded to Claire Rodwell (or is that Robert Bright in drag) best ask our Secretary Steve Limbert. Perhaps he wants to see Rob in a dress. (See photo)

We had a great 10 minutes presentation from Tom Lockhart Maintenance Services Electrical Ltd on EICR and how important they are for businesses and landlords to have in place.

What a fantastic meeting this morning, we have a lovely visitor Akpan Okono from AO refrigeration and heat pump renewable, and our lovely subs Polly Grimmett from KGH.

22 referrals this week! Well done keep them flowing, let’s try and smash the next week with 23 or more.

A great 10 minutes from Sean Buckley from Forest Bookkeeping & Accountancy Ltd very informative and interesting presentation. We learnt how Bookkeeping has evolved over the last few centuries arriving at the modern day bookkeeper with the latest software and tech. We also learnt how self employed people will have to submit their tax returns to HMRC using software over the next three years.

The best 60 seconds was awarded to Sarah Franklin of Sarah Franklin Solicitors, well done Sarah! I wonder who will win it next week?

The best dressed this week must go to our president Narcisz Sweeney. Well done for setting an example to us all. If only Carlsberg made witches 😉
