I have decided to remain closed until the end of the year now. This will give me time to fully recover from the shoulder operation and reduce any risk during the COVID period. I have held and attended several events over the last 7 months to raise funds for some well needed equipment for our hospital. An ECG machine to be shared between the Twywell & Lamport wards is now in place. I would like to follow up with at least one relative bed for the ward where Philip Thompson spent his last days this time last year. This will allow a patient to have a loved one stay over night. I would also like to purchase 4 portable tablets as a trial for those that are bed bound or have special needs so they have access to visual or audio entertainment during their stay. I am now on the final leg of my journey - The Great Wall of China Trek. Please help me raise the last bit by sponsoring me on my Virgin Giving Page and sharing this page with others. Kettering is holding a Heath & Wellbeing Festival over the weekend. I will be joining the Kettering Complementary Therapy Group in the Newland Centre (ex Body Shop Unit) on Saturday where we are giving treatments, talks and workshops to raise funds for KGH as well as Cransley Hospice. Coffee Morning Event
Saturday 8th June - 10am to 12.30pm
9 Soverign Court, Kettering
My fundraising is still ongoing for Kettering General Hospital. To date and with the support of amazing friends, we have managed to raise £5,422.57. We have enough now to get a well needed ECG machine to be shared by Twywell and Lamport wards. I am still aiming for end of life beds and some funding to go towards Patient entertainment systems ie tablets for patient use during their stay. Serveral events have already taken place. This event will be kindly hosted by Keith Ogley and the proceeds shared between KGH and Cransley Hospice. Any cake donations welcome if you can't make the morning.
