🦋 Supporting You Through Life’s Stresses to Emerge as the Person You Wish to Be 🦋

🦋 Supporting you through life’s stresses to emerge as the person you wish to be…

How would you like to say goodbye to anxiety and stresses? Gain strength and confidence in yourself? Or support those you love who are struggling with their own mental health?

🦋 We all have the ability to change. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy allows you to explore your own subconscious mind, recognising negative patterns and behaviours to build new positive solutions which will support you going forward and give you the ability to change. But, when I experienced the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy in my life, I realised I wanted to be able to provide a more lasting confidence and change. Having qualified as a hypnotherapist, I continue to train with new techniques which enable me to provide new therapeutic services. When I experienced the Mind Reboot program, I realised I had changed, the sessions cleared concerns which I had felt were stuck – I was no longer being held back. This is why I trained to support you with the Mind Reboot program, giving you the same opportunity for cleansing which has made such a difference to me.

“The Mind Reboot program has helped me discover and deal with things that have been holding me back… my anxiety has literally left the building.”

“Jo is calming, professional and a great listener and I personally have come such a long way with her therapy. My sleep is better, my mood is better, and I let go of things to be that better person. I can’t thank you enough.”
“The therapy was extremely relaxing and life changing. Thank you Jo.”

“I have enjoyed, facials, which Jo prescribed for me as I have very sensitive skin and they were amazing. Her massages (Indian head to full body) are dreamy and certainly hit the spot and whilst pregnant reflexology sessions helped me sleep and reduced anxiety!! Her therapy room is relaxing, and I always look forward to my visits!!“

Have you noticed that the mornings are staying darker for longer, and the evenings are closing in earlier?

For some, autumn brings cosy, grounding moments, but for others, the shorter days can trigger a dip in mood. This is often linked to Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a form of low mood that can appear as the seasons change.

Why does this happen?
Our brains and bodies rely on natural light. The hypothalamus, which plays a key role in mood, sleep, and appetite, depends on daylight to regulate important chemicals. When daylight decreases, some people feel tired, notice changes in appetite, or experience low mood.
If this resonates with you, know that you’re not alone. There are gentle, supportive ways to ease the symptoms and maintain balance during the darker months.

I’ve shared practical tips and coping strategies in my blog:

Men, are you finding it difficult to confront things surrounding mental health?
A client once shared with me, “As a male, I found it difficult to confront things.”

This reflects a powerful truth that many men still find it hard to speak openly about their mental health. It’s a stigma we need to continue breaking.

November brings important awareness for men’s wellbeing:
• Men’s Mental Health Month
• Movember – highlighting the importance of noticing both physical and mental health changes
• International Men’s Day (19th November) – reminding us that “It’s OK to talk.”

Over a third of my hypnotherapy clients are men, seeking support for a wide range of issues.
Through The Butterfly Program, I help clients explore and release what’s holding them back, so they can move forward with clarity and confidence.
I also support clients who are using GLP-1 medications for weight loss, helping them manage the emotional and behavioural aspects of change, aligning mind and body for long-term wellbeing.
Together, let’s continue to break the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and encourage open, supportive conversations.

“The wound is the place where the light enters you.” – Rumi

Winter offers the space to heal. Trust that your vulnerability is not weakness, but an opening for new light to enter your life.

Taking time for your wellbeing during the working day isn’t indulgent … it’s essential.
Many of my clients fit their hypnotherapy sessions around their work or family life with ease through online sessions.

Some clients work from home which isn’t a problem, others in the workplace take themselves into a private meeting room so they can talk freely and have no interruptions.
Your workplace should allow you to have therapy sessions, as it is ultimately helping your mental health, therefore more happiness and productive work.

Hypnotherapy sessions either in person or as Online Hypnotherapy, are both are as beneficial as each other.

The Benefits of Online
🏠 It is easier for clients who find it a challenge to leave the house.
🚗 No travel time to take into consideration, therefore fits around your working day.
👩‍👧‍👦 Clients with families who don’t have childcare options find they can work round children’s quiet time.
🌍 Geographically there are no restrictions. If I am the right therapist for you, I can see client’s anywhere in the Country or World. Considering time zones of course!
💻 The free consultation can be over Zoom, this will help you find out if this therapy is right for you. After this consultation, you’ll be able to decide if you would like to work with me either in person or continue Online.

Have a read about what to expect with Online Hypnotherapy, https://josephinehypnotherapy.co.uk/online-hypnotherapy/

“Jo was recommended to me by a mutual friend - we are not co-located but I found that remote therapy over Zoom worked really well for me.”

If you or someone you care about aren’t local to me, and would like to work with me, then please do get in touch.

National Stress Awareness Day – 5 November 2025

Stress is actually there to protect us … imagine coming face-to-face with a polar bear! Our fight/flight/freeze response kicks in to keep us safe.
But when stress becomes chronic, our “threat alarm” goes off too often. Suddenly, everything feels like a danger. Multiple “polar bears” appear, anxiety spirals, and our stress bucket overflows.

Emotional signs of stress can include:
• Feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope at work or home
• Inner comparisons, self-doubt, imposter syndrome
• Over-anxious, nervous, or fearful in situations you normally manage
• Irritability, snapping, or lashing out
• Loss of interest, struggling with daily tasks

Behavioural signs of stress can include:
• Overreacting or worrying about things out of your control
• Avoidance or staying in your “safe place”
• Coping behaviours like nail-biting, skin picking, self-harm
• Increased alcohol, smoking, or drug use
• Wearing a “mask” to appear okay while struggling in private

Recognising these signs is the first step in breaking the negative stress cycle. Through hypnotherapy and programmes like my Butterfly Program, you can release stress, manage anxiety, and regain focus and calm.

We ‘fall’ back an hour as the Clock changes tonight, meaning we gain an extra hour sleep tonight!

Here are some useful tips to prepare yourself for the change and aid a good night sleep:
💤 Give yourself a good two to three hours of down time before bed,

💤 Make sure your room isn’t too hot or too cold, keep it slightly cool around 16-18°C.

💤 Limit caffeine to before 2pm and opt for herbal or decaf alternatives after this time.

💤 Avoid too much Alcohol as it reduces our important REM sleep so we don’t get that useful
processing!

💤 Keep to a routine, go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time each day and aim for 7-8 hours’ sleep a night.
