Do you enjoy sewing and want to share your skills with others? 🧵💙

We’re looking for sewing volunteers to support our members in our Kettering and Corby centres.

Our sewing sessions are a great way for members to build confidence, learn new skills and take pride in creating something of their own - and with your support, these sessions can make an even bigger impact.

Whether you’re experienced or simply enjoy sewing as a hobby, your time could help create meaningful opportunities for the people we support.

We've been chosen as one of the Kettering and District Ramblers Association's charities of the year 💙

Pauline, Helen, and Sue recently came into our Kettering centre to meet our members, staff, and volunteers over morning coffee.

Our member Robson gave them a warm Teamwork Trust welcome, by leading them on a tour of the centre and through our garden areas.

A huge thank you to Pauline, Helen, Sue, and the whole Kettering and District Ramblers Association for their support 🙌

Loveth joined our Corby centre last summer, looking to meet new people and learn new things ☀️

When she joined, our cooking and baking sessions were an instant favourite, and every new recipes goes straight home with her to cook for her family!

Loveth also enjoys slowing down and being creative in our garden ornament painting sessions.

She’s created lots of new friends at our Corby centre, becoming a part of our warm, friendly community.

Macy, our Corby Living & Learning Coordinator, said: "These new friendships show Loveth growing in confidence, and her interest in developing new skills, such as cooking, reflects her motivation to become more independent."

We’re so happy to have Loveth as part of our community, and are very proud of the brilliant progress she’s made 💙

The Corby Cube was buzzing for the recent SEND IASS Future Fest - and it was brilliant to be part of it 💙

The day brought together young people, families, and organisations from across North Northamptonshire, all focused on one of the most important transitions a young person can make - the move into adulthood.

Our team came away with new relationships to build on, and we're looking forward to turning those into more chances, choices and opportunities for young adults with autism and learning disabilities across the county.

What a month it's been! 🥳 Here are some of the incredible things our members have been up to in April:

1. Taking advantage of the clear skies, some of our Wellingborough members took a wellbeing walk around the local area ☀️

2. Kala and our Kettering members were getting artsy in a watercolour session - they practised blending and experimenting with shades of green 🎨

3. Corby’s Gardening Club headed to Lakelands Hospice to continue their hard work on the garden, and checking in on the bug hotel 🐛

4. Practising their independent living skills, some of our Kettering members headed to Kettering Library using public transport 📚

5. Our members tried out Pyrography for the first time! They learnt how to use the tool safely, and then practised control by burning over pencil designs 🤩

6. Keith from The Air Ambulance Service gave a fantastic talk at our Kettering centre. We learnt all about the charity and the great work they do 🚁

7. Sara led our Wellingborough members on a Heritage Trail around the local area, where we learnt so much about the town's history, and even picked up a few interested members of the public 😂

8. Teaching Talons, The Animal Ambassadors, returned to our Kettering centre to introduce our members to some more of their animals, like Dobby the tenrec 🦔

9. Our Corby members enjoyed a Bowling day with lots of strikes and spares 🎳

10. The Wellingborough Walking Club soaked up the Irthlingborough Lakes and Meadows in the sunshine, taking in the birds and nature all around 🌿

An EV Minibus doesn't choose itself - so we sent the right people to find one! 🚐

JP, Chelsea, and Joel headed to the NEC in Birmingham to attend the Bus & Coach Expo, and Heidi from our team filmed this little video of the trip.

It’s time! Our Garden Ornament Auction is back, and we’d love you to come along 🤩

Our members have spent the last few months hand-painting garden statues and planters, and in May, they’re going up for auction.

When? Friday 15th May at 5pm - 6:30pm

Where? Our Kettering Centre, NN16 9XW

Tickets are just £5 per person, and include light refreshments.

Every piece is one of a kind, and every penny raised goes towards our EV Minibus fundraising campaign 🚐

A big thank you to Becky and the team at Whitworths for recently donating a very generous selection of products 🙌

Our members enjoyed them as healthy snacks as well as using them to plan some new nutritious recipes for our cooking sessions.

We love meeting our local business community, and hope to build on our relationship with Whitworths in the future!

Maths skills are about so much more than numbers on a page 🔢

Being able to count change, work out quantities, or manage a weekly budget - those are everyday tools that help members progress towards achieving their own version of independence.

Adult Learning from North Northamptonshire Council have joined us for a 10-week maths course, and kicked things off with a session that included combining counting and colours.

The first session went down a treat with our members, and we're looking forward to the rest of the course! 💙

We’re still smiling about our Easter Party 🐣

It was so special bringing together members from all three of our centres for a day of fun, connection, and Easter spirit.

From creative bonnets to games, laughter and plenty of sweet treats - the room was buzzing from start to finish! 💙
