During our walks around the building, we noticed that four of our bedrooms spaces were feeling a bit cozy for comfort, so we've been hard at work making them more spacious and perfect for your enjoyment. 🛠✨

🌿 GARDEN - COMPLETE! 🌿

Hello everyone,

The wait is finally over… today’s the day! 🎉 Our garden transformation is ready for you to explore, and trust us, it’s been an absolute labor of love from start to finish.

We’ve put in a ton of hard work to create a space that’s not just safe, but also a peaceful, relaxing haven for all of you to enjoy. 🌷 Here’s a peek at the amazing team behind it all:

✨ Shane (Beckie’s partner) – The mastermind behind the new garden layout, making sure we made the most of the space while keeping everything safe and sound.
✨ Beckie – The powerhouse who’s been jet washing, lifting and chiselling slabs, and carefully planning every inch of the garden’s design. She’s worked tirelessly to bring it all together!
✨ Caroline – Our chief planter and expert gardener who lent a hand and chisel (and a few great tips) along the way. 🌻
✨ Max (Tsitsi’s father) – He’s been a legend, lifting and relaying slabs, plus adding the perfect border around the garden’s edge (with a little extra help from some amazing volunteers).
✨ Two groundwork companies – These folks stepped in to help tackle the larger, tricky sloped areas of the garden.
✨ And last but definitely not least, Tsitsi – Her patience and effort in tidying and cleaning the space throughout the process have been incredible.

I’m already enjoying my first cup of tea in the new garden, and I can’t wait for all of you to join me in this beautiful space! 🌸

We’ve decided to make another exciting change in the home! We’ve rearranged the dining room and lounge to create a more spacious and comfortable space for everyone to enjoy.

In the dining room, we’ll be setting up a refresh station stocked with daily snacks like fruit, biscuits, and crisps that you can help yourself to throughout the day. We’ll also have cereal available in the mornings for you to enjoy whenever you'd like. The menu for the day will be displayed, along with a four-week rotating menu, which is currently on the board and will soon be moved to the resident and relative folder by the seniors' station.

Outside the lounge, you’ll find the planned activities for the week, as well as any outings or special events happening at the home and any important notices. We hope these little touches will make your time here even more enjoyable and relaxing! 🤩🏡🖼🍐🍊🍇

Hello everyone! Beckie has been working hard to update and refresh the bedrooms, creating cozy, inviting spaces just for you. She’s thoughtfully staged them to show how easily they can be personalized with your own belongings, turning them into your own safe haven.

She’s been busy re-arranging with the help of some of your future staff (who also currently work with our domiciliary company Dunamis Social Care) to make everything feel just right 😍🌟🏡

*UPDATE*

Beckie and Caroline have been hard at work on the garden project! While it might feel like we haven’t made much progress (we cleaned and now it’s dirty again!), we’ve actually removed over 85 slabs by hand, getting everything ready for the real landscaping crew to come in and transform this into a safe and beautiful space! It’s all coming together! 👩‍🌾⚒

You’ve been asking how we’re doing, and we’re excited to share that we’ve embarked on a new project to make our garden even more resident-friendly.

Tsitsi, Beckie, Caroline, and Lorraine have been hard at work (and we mean really hard at work) giving the deck a thorough scrub!

What has caused us to be quiet lately?

During this time, we've been busy enhancing our home while we await the completion of CQC assessments.

One of the improvements we’re most excited about is the creation of a multi-purpose room. This tranquil sensory space is designed to provide comfort for residents who may feel distressed or anxious in their current surroundings. Equipped with a variety of sensory items, it fosters a calming atmosphere.

Additionally, this room offers a private setting for families to connect with loved ones or meet with professionals, ensuring that your family member receives the best possible care.
