All of these groups have been set up by Community Wellbeing Champions who are looking to make a positive difference in our local community. These champions are part of our Community Wellbeing Champion service and have undertaken training with Callum from Kettering Mind.

There is an ADHD peer support group, a single parents support group and a social support group for women. Take a look at the posters to see if any of these sound beneficial to you, if so why not give it a go! We are extremely proud of these Community Wellbeing Champions who are bringing such positive groups to the local area 💙

Tomorrow is World Water Day 💧

World Water Day highlights the importance of water in our lives and the urgent need to protect it. Clean water is not a luxury, it’s a basic human right. Yet millions around the world still lack access to safe drinking water.

On this World Water Day , let’s commit to:

✔️ Conserving water at home

✔️ Reducing pollution

✔️ Supporting sustainable water initiatives

✔️ Raising awareness in our communities

Small actions create big change. Turn off the tap, fix leaks, reuse when possible. Every drop truly counts.

🌍 Together, we can protect our planet’s most precious resource.

Today we celebrate Global Recycling Day ♻️

Recycling isn’t just about waste. It’s about protecting our planet, conserving natural resources, and building a sustainable future for generations to come. Did you know recycling helps reduce pollution, save energy, and conserve natural resources? By recycling just one aluminium can, you save enough energy to power a TV for hours.

Every bottle recycled, every box reused, every small effort counts. Let’s turn yesterday’s waste into tomorrow’s opportunity. 💚

University Mental Health Day takes place every March to get the nation talking about student wellbeing and working together to make mental health a university-wide priority. The theme for 2026 is human connection.

Research has shown that strong social relationships are integral to us all for enjoying positive mental health. Connection is what makes us human. This feels especially important as a theme in 2026 due to recent political and technological developments, as well as other pressures that might mean we’re spending less time meaningfully connecting with others across our community.

Around 1 in 4 students report having a diagnosed mental health issue at university. Navigating identity, discrimination and global concerns can all make student life even tougher. Academic pressure, money worries, loneliness. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed at university. It shouldn’t be this way. Follow the link below to learn more about our student support service.

Today is Young Carers Action Day 2026 which focuses on the theme ‘Fair Futures for Young Carers’. The day calls for action to ensure young carers have the same opportunities to learn, grow and thrive as their peers, with the right recognition, support and chances to reach their potential.

Across the UK, thousands of young carers take on extra responsibilities at home, often balancing school, friendships, and personal time alongside caring duties. Organisations like Carers Trust lead the campaign each year, shining a spotlight on the challenges young carers face and the support they deserve.

Young carers may help with cooking, cleaning, and household tasks. They may even provide emotional support or support with medication and or personal care. Young carers certainly manage responsibilities fay beyond their years.

While they show remarkable strength and maturity, many young carers can feel isolated or overwhelmed. That’s why awareness, understanding, and accessible support are so important. 💙
