Kettering Mind

Kettering Mind We are Kettering Mind, your local mental health charity. We’ll listen, give you support and advice and fight your corner.

We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone, so we’re here for you whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis or just want some ideas about how to look after your mental health. We are a registered charity affiliated to National Mind who are dedicated to supporting and empowering anyone experiencing a mental health problem, through a wide variety of services.

Todays feedback comes from an individual who attended our anger management course.

"The course has increased my knowledge of anger management and how it can affect us. It has also allowed me to speak openly about various issues and realise that things can be far worse if you don't pause to think about things before acting. Also knowing and hearing of others and their own experiences with anger has helped."

In this course, we’ll look to gain a better understanding of anger, its implications consequences and how it affects us, and what individuals can do to reduce the impact it has on their life and improve their wellbeing. Tomorrow is parent mental health day!

This annual campaign aims to highlight the vital link between parental well-being and family health, offering resources and support for managing burnout and fostering positive family dynamics throughout the year.

Many of us who care for children may worry about our mental health. We may worry about how it’ll impact our children or how we can look after them. But with the right support and resources, it’s possible to care for children while managing your mental health problem. Follow the link below for further information, tips and support options.

Three support groups started in Kettering late in 2025!

All of these groups have been set up by Community Wellbeing Champions who are looking to make a positive difference in our local community. These champions are part of our Community Wellbeing Champion service and have undertaken training with Callum from Kettering Mind.

There is an ADHD peer support group, a single parents support group and a social support group for women. Take a look at the posters to see if any of these sound beneficial to you, if so why not give it a go! We are extremely proud of these Community Wellbeing Champions who are bringing such positive groups to the local area 💙

Last Monday we teamed up with Samaritans for brew Monday at Kettering train station.

We know there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’ and that feeling low isn’t just something that happens on Mondays or a random day in January. So we say out with the blue and in with the brew! Brew Monday is all about reaching out for a cuppa and a catch-up with the people you care about.

There’s always time for a cuppa and a catch-up. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Monday morning or Saturday night, or if you’re drinking green tea or black coffee. If you’re sharing a cuppa, talking and listening, you’re doing it right.

If you need someone to talk to, want to make connections or just fancy a cuppa then please remember that every Monday from 1100-1300 our drop-in is open at Kettering Mind! 💙

Todays feedback comes from an Individual who attended our understand yourself better course.

"The course helps define who you are as a person who you are as a person and why. Also how to tackle uncomfortable feelings and methods to change them. I would recommend this for someone who wants to change for the better".

This course is a cycle of workshops designed to help you understand more about why you are experiencing difficulties at the moment, and why things might be a struggle for you. See the link below for more information about this service and how to refer. 👇
