Kettering Mind

Kettering Mind We are Kettering Mind, your local mental health charity. We’ll listen, give you support and advice and fight your corner.

We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone, so we’re here for you whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis or just want some ideas about how to look after your mental health. We are a registered charity affiliated to National Mind who are dedicated to supporting and empowering anyone experiencing a mental health problem, through a wide variety of services.

This week is national allotments week, which is all about celebrating green spaces and the benefits they have for our health, wellbeing and the planet!

Here are some pictures of our allotment area and wild garden. You can see some of the plants, fruits and vegetables we are growing. We also have a compost area which may not be aesthetically pleasing but it’s certainly important.

Check out the bees that are loving the lavender! 🐝 Check our story out to hear the bees buzzing around the lavender!

A huge thanks to the gardening group who have created such a wonderful green space for us and the insects to enjoy 💙

Today is International Youth Day which focuses on the difficulties that some young people are experiencing throughout the world.

Half the children between the age of 6 and 13 lack basic reading and math skills and childhood poverty is still a prevalent problem globally. International Youth Day was created by the UN to help draw awareness to these issues as we strive to find solutions. It’s a day for reflection but also a day for taking action so get involved.
