Fat Loss Journey week #4 Results!

Zooming out, it's gone well, but there is no hiding the fact that fat loss can stall as the weeks go on...

So how do you maintain momentum?

What can make the difference?

Firstly, understanding where you store body fat is key

We are all different and store body fat in key areas

This is a good thing, as it gives us a cheat code to understanding what to do next.

Hormonal balance affects where you store your body fat

so if we know where you store it, we can address the specific hormone and drop body fat fast!!

For me, it's insulin which leads me to the second Cheat Code of the day.

I've never personally used one before, so this will be an interesting learning curve for me

Week 2 results...This week's results are a classic example of what can happen when you set the stage for success.

It's pretty incredible to see what happens and how fast it can happen when health is on your team.

All systems of my body are working together to get me to where I want to go.

Healthy, lean, strong.

It feels like a weight off my shoulders to know that it's working and that achieving my goal is only a matter of time

And a short amount of time at that.

Fat lost cheat code #10

It took me years to finally find the reason many people struggle to lose weight.

Diet and exercise are by far the loudest drums people hit when it comes to fat loss.

But to say fat loss isn't the same for everybody is the understatement of the century.

But why?

One of the big pieces of the puzzle was understanding, not just what we can do externally

But what we can see internally.

Almost every client I see has metabolic dysfunction to some degree.

Which can be liberating for so many who have struggled for so long.

For me, I need to optimise my metabolism, which will only speed results.

And let's face it

Who doesn't want quick results?

If it's gonna take four weeks or six weeks, I'll take four thank you very much.

Cheat Codes to fat loss...

If I want to accelerate my fat loss, one of the first tests I would do is a food intolerance test.

Food allergy is well known and causes symptoms almost instantly.

Food intolerance is far more sinister.

As we age our guts can sometimes become weaker and foods begin to inflame and irritate.

Most of us simply get used to feeling bloated, tired, having brain fog or skin issues, and never put it down to a digestion.

But I have found clinically that intolerance to certain foods can be a source of many health issues from bloating to autoimmune diseases.

For fat loss diet is King

So understanding how the foods you are eating interact with your body is essential.

Spending months if not years doing everything right and not getting results is so frustrating and can be down to something as simple as intolerance.

I shouldn't really do this but....

I like many, are impatient.

When you've stuck to the diet, when you're going to bed on time, when you are exercising I want results!!!
But you then you look in the mirror after the first week...

And nothing...No Abs, No tan, I still look about the same...😣

It's easy to lose motivation...

But that's why it's so important to assess and track progress.

Otherwise you're just in the dark, never knowing where you are and this leads many to the land of lame.

Today I'm doing a body fat check (which should be done every 2 weeks) to see what effect my changes have made.

Lets go!!!

Fat Loss Journey Tip #8

One of my mentors once said 'you must deserve your carbs'

This was a wake up call to me at the time as I thought carbohydrates were like any other food simply energy.

What I did didn't realise is that carbohydrates act very differently to other macro nutrients in the body especially when it comes to fat loss.

Overtime, I've seen firsthand the difference that monitoring carbohydrate intake can make.

It can be the difference between getting results or not.

The Gen rule is the more overweight you are the closer to 50 g of carbohydrate a day you should be.

It's not easy, especially when you're used to eating probably hundreds of grams of carbs a day,

but if you're after fat loss don't cut calories cut your carbs.

Fat Loss Journey Tip #6

Today's fat loss tip we are talking about the mother of all macro nutrients... protein.

Protein is by file the most important macro nutrient there is, yet it is very misunderstood.

I can't tell you the amount of positive results I have had simply by correcting protein intake.

As we get over 40 protein becomes even more important to maintain our structure, our energy and our quality of life.

So times your body weight in kilos by 1.2, start tracking how much you're consuming and watch the results flood in.

You must understand when to eat.

Fasting has made food timing quite trendy recently.

Unfortunately, it's been misused as a way to starve yourself and be proud of it.

I use eating windows as a way to enhance health, longevity and body composition.

But it must be done right.

What should I eat?

Is the most asked question I get.

Unfortunately, almost everyone has it wrong because they are using a one size fit diet method.

The diet that will work for you will be different from the one that works for me or anyone else for that matter.

To start individualising what you should eat the first question falls upon the macro nutrients.

How much, and which one should you specifically focus on?

Today's video showcases one of the best ways I've ever found to answer that question.

And it is definitely something I would do first if I was starting again.
