A notice to all inhaler users!

If you need to return a used or unused inhaler, you can bring it to the pharmacy for safe disposal.

Due to the propellants in inhalers, not disposing of them properly can lead to the release of harmful greenhouse gasses.

Please bring your inhalers into the pharmacy today so we can dispose of them properly.

It's Cervical Screening Awareness Week!

Cervical screening saves thousands of lives every single year in the UK - preventing 70% of cervical cancer deaths if attended regularly.

Going for your cervical screening isn’t always easy but it really is important that you attend.

If you're feeling worried about your appointment, try the following:

Ask for an extended appointment - This gives you more time to ask questions and feel ready.

Bring someone you trust - They can be with you in the waiting room or during your appointment.

Ask for a smaller speculum - A smaller size may be more comfortable for you.

Wear a skirt or dress - You can keep it on during your appointment to help feel more covered.

Don't stay quiet - If you need any support or have questions, speak up as your nurse can help.

If you’ve received an invite, this is your reminder to book in your cervical screening today at your registered GP practice.

Diabetes is a condition that causes a person's blood sugar level to become too high.

There are 2 main types of diabetes:

Type 1 diabetes – a lifelong condition where the body's immune system attacks and destroys the cells that produce insulin.

Type 2 diabetes – where the body does not produce enough insulin, or the body's cells do not react to insulin properly.

Type 2 diabetes is far more common than type 1. In the UK, over 90% of all adults with diabetes have type 2.

As it's Diabetes Awareness Week, we're sharing information on the symptoms.

If you recognise these symptoms, please make an appointment with your GP today.

- Feeling very thirsty
- Peeing more frequently than usual, particularly at night
- Feeling very tired
- Weight loss and loss of muscle bulk
- Blurred vision
