As the start of the summer holidays start for us we want to take a moment to show our appreciation to all staff involved in the SEN sector.

💜 You work tirelessly to help children achieve targets in a way that is moulded for them and produce indepth reports throughout the year to document this.

💙 You give amazing support to families who often have little or no other support.

💛 You manage and take challenging behaviours in your stride and this is one of the factors that set you aside from typical teaching roles.

🩷 You are relentless in keeping our children safe and happy within the school environment and are often putting yourself in harms way to protect the pupils.

💚 You spend extra unpaid hours preparing resources/paperwork and are often spending your own money to help a child learn through these resources and experiences

You are incredible. You are appreciated!

Help Us Save Our Autism Evenings & Family Events at the Farm 💛

Hi everyone, it’s Farmer Mike here. Myself, my family, and our team need your support now more than ever 🙏

Since Christmas, we’ve been legally prevented from running our Autism Evenings and evening family events due to enforcement threats from Bromsgrove District Council.

This has sadly halted some of our most meaningful and inclusive experiences, including:

❌ Autism Evenings
❌ The Christmas Light Trail
❌ Spooky Halloween & Summer Fun Nights
🛑 And so many valued community partnerships

We’ve now submitted a Planning Application to extend our hours to 9am–9pm, so we can bring these events back for the community.

These extended hours also support after-school clubs and youth groups who rely on quieter, flexible visits to meet the inclusive needs of the children they serve.

Over the past 7 years, Attwell Farm Park has become one of Worcestershire’s largest and most inclusive family attractions. With 50+ staff, we proudly support local suppliers, small businesses, and community partnerships.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support that’s got us this far – and now we need your help to keep going.

We have some availability to take on 2 people (potentially more depending on allocated hours) who are entitled to social care hours via their council.

Unfortunately, due to being a Limited company, we currently have no CQC registration and this is a requirement for LTD companies but not sole traders. So for this reason we wouldn't yet be able to take anyone on with personal care needs. We hope we will be able to offer this in the near future as we look into how to gain this accreditation.

📢 Changes are coming to our SEND Services team

We’ve listened to what families have told us about the EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) process, and we know we need to do better.

We’re starting a restructure to improve how our SEND Services team manage the EHCP process. The key changes include:

✅ More staff: we’ve added 4 EHCP Co-ordinators, 1 Team Manager, 1 Senior EHCP Co-ordinator, 2 Initial Screening and Contact Officers and a second Complaints Officer
✅ New Pre-14 and Post-14 teams split by area – so children are supported by a team that understands their stage of life
✅ A new Postcode Finder tool so families can easily see which team supports their child
✅ Each team will have their own phone number and email address so it’s easier to get in touch, even when individual EHCP Co-ordinators are unavailable.
✅ Casework Officers are now going to be called ‘EHCP Co-ordinators’ as families reported back to us that they didn’t like children being referred to as a ‘case’

This isn’t about saving money — it’s about making the EHCP process better, quicker, and less stressful for families to navigate.

We will be moving children and young people to their new teams during June and July. Families can continue to contact their current EHCP Co-ordinator and the SEND Services Team via the usual channels and will be updated as and when things change.

The new team structure will be fully in place from 1st September 2025.
